The hush puppies were great but everything else was terrible. My family ordered grilled chicken sandwich, hamburger, BBQ, and chicken pastry. The fries tasted like fish and the chicken pastry was chicken and dumplin's. We left disappointed and sick to our stomachs---grabbed a snack at the game later. We would never recommend this place.

Canned beans, over cooked chicken and ribs. Eck, Not sure how they are getting four stars. I'm a fan of good BBQ dives: this isn't one.

If you're looking for REAL Eastern NC BBQ, this is the place to find it. The servings are plentiful and the Q is seasoned just right (although if you're still inclined, they offer two different kinds of sauce and Texas Pete). They also serve a basket of hushpuppies on the table to keep you busy until your main course arrives.... More

Feed 'em and street 'em, that's their motto. Fried chicken was good and fresh, chopped pork was dry and unremarkable but made palatable with some sauce, collards were fresh and tasty, hush puppies were the best part. They get crowded and if you linger too long, they'll stop refilling your drinks and eventually ask you to leave. $30+ for two... More

This is a hole in the wall restaurant. Even has a trailer park in the back. But you will really enjoy the experience. Original owners still working there all these years. Daughter is waitress and granddaughter is a talented little assistant. BBQ is good. Sides are excellent. Try the collards. Hush puppies are slender and sweet. I like there sauce... More

The pulled pork sandwich was moist and flavorful. I wish they had a mustard bar b q sauce to put on it. Their hot sauce was ok. I got my plate about three minutes after I ordered. The hush puppies look like sausage link donuts. They were great, kinda sweet outside and seasoned hush puppy inside.

They have good barbacue chicken and a whole host of country vegetables. They are all good. The before dinner hush puppies are dangerous and addictive. Make sure you leave room for the chicken

I came in to try their ribs. They start you out with a basket of hush puppies. They were great. The ribs were not very smoked and seemed to have been wrapped in foil because they did fall off the bone were that to soft like they had been steamed. Probably from being wrapped in the foil. The fried okra... More
