Our family of 5 picked this for a special occasion, knowing it would be expensive but expecting a happy time. Ordered first fondue course, served with no problem. Server forgot to put in salad orders for next course, so we had a long wait (20...minutes) after we asked for them to be served. We asked for pepper for salad -- literally waited 10 minutes and then he brought us a shaker like from the grocery store. Salads were literally swimming in dressing. Next fondue course was very slow to come out -- had to find manager and ask for help. It was served without the advertised breading for the oil-cooked foods; we had to ask (and wait quite a while) for it! The ingredients were served cold - expected that for meat but not for vegetables. The sauces were awful -- the "green goddess" was just sour cream. We needed a refill on the breading, but server said they were out of breading for the night! We decided to skip the dessert course, as by that time we had been there 2.5 hours and spent $250. What a waste of our money and time! Will never come here again. The servers wore plastic gloves. But they were wearing these same gloves as they cleaned the floor and then served again. What were the chances that they changed gloves? Avoid this restaurant. No customers looked happy as they left.More

My review would have been a lot higher had my server corrected her error, but honestly, 2 stars is too high given the amount of money spent. We decided on a whim to go to the since we have been practicing social distancing. My daughter...turned 16 (at home, due to the pandemic) so she was excited about dinner out. Service was excellent except for 1 serious misstep. The server misunderstood my order & when the uncooked proteins arrived, I realized what was presented was not what I had ordered. I inquired about it. I had ordered the Land & Sea (Garlic Pepper Sirloin/Herbed Chicken/Shrimp/Salmon) but the server delivered the Pacific Rim (Shrimp/Teriyaki Sirloin/Sesame Ahi Tuna/Duck Breast). Instead of taking the untouched food back to correct the mistake, the server told me I could substitute 1 item. Though I appreciated that gesture, I don't like duck at all, & I don't care for teriyaki. I tried politely to insist on my original order, but the server ignored my request & offered to bring me a substitute for the duck (I told her I don't eat it). I finally agreed & was given 4 pieces of filet. While very nice of the server, I don't understand why she didn't take my order back & correct the mistake. I only ate 1 piece of the teriyaki beef & none of the duck. When the server came back to take our plates & saw the duck had gone uneaten, she asked me if I hadn't liked it. $120 for a meal (for 2) would have been much more palatable had the order been correct. Completely unacceptable!More

We took my son out for his birthday. There were 2 of us so we got two different pots of the special during Triangle Restaurant week. One had a Mojo base and the other the tradition bouillon. The food was very good, plentiful and our...server Chase explained our options and had a super personality. Since this was my son's 22nd birthday, he enjoyed experimenting by sampling different cocktails. The Yin Yang Martini was very pretty but so so in taste. The Whiskey Thistle was enjoyed by all three of us at the table. The Melting Pot Mule was good but pretty much a Mule you can get a lot of places. I had the Chocolate Fontini which was very pretty and generally just a fun drink. Overall, the best drink was the Whiskey Thistle. Our bills for the 3 meals and drinks was just over $100. It was a very enjoyable evening.More

I would rather spend my money on crack . Horrible experience . Never got the food I was supposed to cook for myself ????!! Then you charge me $100?? This place really was bad all the way around . Horrible x 100,000,000. Service sucked too....I got kids and no time to get out in 6 years so here I am wasting the time I built up to get a couple hour out with my wife and friends and then no food!!!!!!! I really hate this placeMore

My husband and I decided to try “the Melting Pot” for the first time to celebrate our one year anniversary. They did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were all incredibly nice. I highly recommend for any of your special occasions!

You have to really enjoy fondue to enjoy this property. Others in my party simply enjoyed everything. I'm not a fondue person so it's hard to rate things. Plenty of parking but the traffic around the location is very heavy and there's new stores opening...nearby, it's hard to imagine how the traffic will flow.More

We went out for our Valentine's Day on Feb. 15, since that was a Friday. We chose Melting Pot because we have had so many nice experiences at Melting Pots in Myrtle Beach and Orlando. This was my second time to the Raleigh Location in...four months. I did not review that visit on Trip Advisor.... but it was almost identical to the same experience I had tonight. First of all, they were "booked"...yet there were all kinds of tables open that were unattended for the entire time we were there. It's almost like they wanted to turn people away. Why? Are they understaffed? Not only did the waiter lack personality, he was rude. I had asked for a refill on my club soda. He brought a glass over and just sort of plopped it on the table in front of me without even facing the table or acknowledging me or anyone else at the table. At every Melting Pot I've ever been to, part of the service is the presentation and EXPLANATION of all the cool condiments they provide. The staff at the Raleigh location, BOTH TIMES I've been there, just dropped the dishes of condiments on the table and walked away, they didn't explain a thing. Again, this is a drastic contrast from the service I've received in other cities at a Melting Pot location. I left feeling unappreciated. I didn't feel entertained. And when I asked my boyfriend, he felt the same way. For the prices charged, the service should be top notch.More

Cheese heaven..... First time going and I love the food. The server was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. The only thing they need to do is update the furniture is a bit worn. Other than that this gonna be one of the restaurants...I will go regularly. Highly recommend.More

As someone who used to frequent melting pot at least 4-5 times a year for the Big night out or ladies night in a previous state, I must say that this location has vastly improved since our 3 previous visits. Our initial visit about 11...years ago left us shocked and bewildered with the minimal amount of food served compared to other locations we visited, and service was minimally satisfactory. Same goes for the 2 visits after that, which made us leave this franchise alone for several years. Fast forward to recently, we went as a family of three and was very impressed with how much more food you get for approximately the same price years ago. We each got our own plate of meats and even the fruit/dessert plates were split between sides of the table. Our server (Holly) was outstanding and provided us with a memorable experience. Of course we will need to make another attempt to see if we lucked out this last time, or if the owners actually improved both a customer and employees experience, but my next visit will be with much less hesitation.More
