Would not return based on average at best food and experience We left shrimp and flounder on our plates. That is unusual.

We dine at the restaurant on a fairly regular basis and have always had a good meal and generally good service. On this night we were disappointed that the fresh fish menu was very limited - only salmon, swordfish and mahi mahi none of which...More

We went to an oyster bar because my son wanted crab. My husband did not like his non seafood meal and I hated the vegetarian pasta. Neither of us finished our meal. My son ordered crab cakes and also did not finish them but said...More

Mike was a great server to our table of 9. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made good recommendations. My husband and I shared the seafood platter. It was wonderful. Others in our group ordered shrimp (he thought it was over cooked) tuna...More

Not been here in years...we used to hit this place a lot in the early 1990s...used to be wall to wall standing room only when it was more of a bar vs a eating place..

We come to Raleigh often, but this was our first visit to 42nd Street. We loved it and will definitely make this one of our go to restaurants when we are in town. The food was outstanding, especially the cornmeal crusted trout with crab meat!...More

The good is very good. Prices are reasonable. Great hushpuppies. Reservations are recommended because dinner time can be extremely busy. The warehouse type building makes it difficult to have a conversation. Hard to hear the person sitting across the table from you.
