Oysters were plentiful, several types. We split a dozen, 6 Blue point and Chesapeake. Delicious. Waitstaff courteous and knowledgeable, Worth the trip from Dolton, Il. Will make a second appearance.

The Gluten Free Calamari was done to perfection. The pan seared scallops were fantastic...my family's words were " Delicious" ... Thank you to the kitchen in avoiding Gluten...well done.

This was my first time here but, the food was delicious. It was date night for me. The atmosphere was nice. Our Waiter, was from Maryland. He was very knowable about the meals they serve which, helped when, I made the choice of a seafood platter. My side dishes were the Collar Greens and Bake Potato. I was able to get... More

This had to be the best oysters I have ever eaten. The place is a historical site in Raleigh and a very busy place. If you are in Raleigh and like seafood this is a place you need to visit.

Before there was a Glenwood South there was 42nd st. Great seafood , service and eclectic atmosphere. I love the mounted sharks on the wall. and the complimentary hush puppies. A must visit for seafood in town .

Husband and I come here often for date night. The food is very and service is a hit or miss. Sometimes I feel like we are ignored and at other times we are laughing and joking with the waiter.

A Raleigh must for oysters and raw bar. A little pricey but good for that special occasion or to hang out at the barb

This is one of my favorite places. The oysters are great, whether raw, steamed or fried. There are plenty of other seafood options as well and the desserts are good, too. Extensive brew list, great decor and atmosphere and friendly and prompt service. Love this place.
