We had a delicious lunch from the specials list. The baked chicken was tender and tasty. The home fries were delicious and not greasy. The banana pudding is the real deal! The atmosphere here is great too, and the service was wonderful!

This is a good, old fashion "blue plate" diner like used to be on every corner in downtowns across America. The hamburger steak was very good, the gravy and vegetables just kinda meh/out of a can. The slaw was homemade and fresh. The banana pudding was out of this world! If I found myself back in the area I'd stop... More

A rare lazy family Sunday morning, playing hooky from church after a fun day at the NC State Fair found us here after reading reviews. Plus, hubby was ready to try a good challenge and 3 pancakes *seemed* easy! The pancakes taste like pound cake and are as big as your daddy's head (if you have kids, make them split... More

Had the BBQ with butter beans, cucumber salad, banana pudding, and tea. They give you both a great biscuit and some killer cornbread with the meat and 3. It was like walking back 40+ years into history the way the place is laid out. The City Market is a kind of high end enclave of businesses right near the capitol... More

First the biscuits and molasses are out of this world. The bacon was perfect not burnt or too soft. If I'm in Raleigh again I will definitely eat here.

Visit Raleigh frequently for work and always make sure to grab breakfast here at least once. The atmosphere is great and the staff is super friendly. Oh yeah, the food is amazing. Bacon and cheddar omelette is my favorite and get the biscuits, you will not be disappointed. Even though this place is so good and very popular there are... More

Lester go and flat out chow down!!! This place is eclectic in memorabilia. There is even a wagon train cloths line hanging from the ceiling. Gotta love the staff. They are Southern and really get hospitality! Food is so darn good! Grits eggs bacon jelly biscuits coffee butter ...fully satisfied!
