I didn't know it was a delicacy until I reached adulthood and didn't have anyone to fix that breakfast for me anymore. Then I discovered Big Ed's. The breakfast is worth the journey. Ham with just the right amount of saltiness.... More

I eat at Big Ed's about once a month. The food is consistently good. I especially recommend the hot BBQ chicken! Also, make sure that you try the molasses!

I grew up on country cooking and tend to love all places that serve a meat and two sides. Great choice of meats and a wide variety of fresh veggies. Highly recommend if you love country cooking like I do!! This is not a very fancy place so do not go in expecting that.

Great restaurant, excellent food and wonderful service in the heart of Raleigh. This restaurant has the kind of southern breakfast that anyone visiting wishes they could have every day. The biscuits were amazing and the pancakes were huge and delicious. All of the portions were extremely generous and we had leftovers for a second breakfast! Our waitress was so friendly... More
