My wife has been dying for me to try this place. She has been on a couple of occasions and raved about how good the food was. We decided to go before the Christmas Parade and it was delicious. I had an omelette and it was perfectly cooked. Grits and biscuits were good. I wish I could remember our server's... More

Visited this establishment for Sunday breakfast. If you are looking for a hearty breakfast this is a don't miss destination. If you were in a hurry don't be put off by a long line outside the door. It moves quickly. The decor of the place is really cool. Nostalgia from all over America is everywhere. This provided a great walk... More

Country cooking at its best! If I'm in town I'm pushing hard for a Big Ed's breakfast. My favorites are the country ham, grits, grilled biscuits (I ask for mine to be mashed flat) and eggs. My family loves the pancakes; my grandson has been eating them since he needed a high chair and my wife gets them every time.... More

This place has the vibe of a very popular place and has friendly staff and kitch decor. Big food choices including some traditional southern fare. Even pig brains if you're game. Pancakes the size of pizzas.

The service is slow and there is usually a wait, but it's worth it. Large portions, delicious and hot biscuits! If you are not in a hurry, you should try this restaurant.

Big Ed's has two locations in Raleigh. Both have the same atmosphere and goo food. I prefer the North Raleigh location over the City Market location because of the parking.

Blue plate special is a must, but go hungry because it is a lot of food! Collard greens, pickled beets, and biscuits are a few of the southern items served and they are good. Where can you get a hamburger under $5 that isn't fast food? Good choice to experience Raleigh.

Good southern NC style big breakfast. Friendly staff and quick service. If you are not used to this type of cooking be advised, lemonade and tea drinks are super sweet, portions are big and overall you will feel welcome. Will go back!

This restaurant offers a few specials for lunch but the items on the breakfast menu are what draw the customers in. My son and I an egg and meat special along with a pancake, but little did we know that the pancake would be more like the size of a dinner plate. (see picture below)
