Clearly this place was a drive in days ago... The breakfast is like your Grandma made if she were as southern as fried chicken and sweet tea!!! Great grilled cheese too!! Hope you make it soon!!

Finch's is a legacy. I have been dining here for years and before me I had an aunt that ate here over 50 years ago. They have wonderful food of all kinds - salmon cakes to die for on Wednesday - Spaghetti everyday that is just like mom's. You have to get to this location before the end of September... More

This place is long gone as far as i am concerned. Run down building, micro and dirty toilet. Stay away!

Finch's had a lot of character. You could tell many of the patrons were regulars, and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. If you are looking for outstanding food, try somewhere else. If you are looking for a pleasant, quaint dining experience, Finch's is your place.

We've been going to Finch's for years for breakfast/brunch. The place is not elaborately furnished and shows its age, but the staff and the continuous patrons are a joy to be with. they serve good food at reasonable prices. Their home fries are made from real potatoes, not those already diced in a bag. Unfortunately, due to Raleigh's planned expansion... More

This place is an institution. It is no-frills and definitely won't blow your socks off, but if you are looking for good, greasy, southern diner food and friendly people, then this is your place! My go-to diner in Raleigh!

Essentially Finch's is a non-corporate version of Waffle House. They make great greasy breakfast foods for really reasonable prices. Ideal for after a night on the town or for a quick morning bite. The service can be a bit slow at times, and the layout of the restaurant could be streamlined a bit better, but it is a solid place... More

I really was looking forward to a home-style breakfast. My sunny- side up eggs were good, but the home fried potatoes were served burnt, they actually were blackened!. I was looking forward to the biscuits but they were served cold. Coffee was very weak. I would not go back.

We found out it from recommendations of our hotel and people we met at bars. For some really strange reason, people in Glenwood South do not seem to eat breakfast out. Everyplace in the area is lunch and dinner only. We had a free breakfast at our hotel (Hampton) but it was lackluster at best . We wanted some local... More
