There is a charm here and and understated elegance to the menu. The offerings touch on Southern classics. There are lots of seafood dishes to try ranging from Shrimp and Grits, Seafood Grits, Organic Salmon, to name a few. I tried the A La Carte Salmon with beet salad and goat cheese and parsnip mashed potatoes as a side dish.... More

The Glennwood Grill is hard to find via GPS because it is located in a small strip mall off a service road that parallels Glenwood Avenue, but it is well worth the trouble. We knew we had come to a special place when we entered. It definitely exudes class combined with a certain neighborhood vibe which is reminiscent of a... More

Met here at the advice of a colleague for dinner mid week. The service was impeccable and the food delicious - including the fried green tomatoes starter, the blackened sea bass for entrée and creme brûlée for desert. Highly recommended.

It was aThursday night around 7:30 and the restaurant was comfortably full. There was a buzz about the place and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was a new menu so we got to try some new items on the menu. Everyone at our table had something different. It was my Moms birthday and she had to have the... More

As many great meals as we've had in strip mall restaurants, it still amazes me that it can happen. Was in Raleigh this week, and stopped in Glenwood Grill on advice of friends. Cozy, exudes class. Decor very appealing. Being only a couple of hours from the coast insures great, fresh NC seafood. Our party dined on she-crab soups, crab... More

Our first trip to Glenwood Grill - found us sitting at the bar with no reservation at 5:30 p.m.! But not to worry~we enjoyed excellent service, excellent apps, a grand Sidecar and beer and dined on the entree special of panko trout with many accoutrements. Can't wait to go back (with or without a reservation).

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening at Glenwood Grill. Every dish was terrific from apps to dessert! Our groups favorites were: mussels appetizer, a tie between the marinated Mahi-mahi and the scallops entrees and the cobbler dessert might have been licked clean. The wait staff was relaxed, cordial and accommodating. Reservations were helpful as the dining room was full. We... More

Based on the good reviews, my wife and I tried Glenwood Grill for date night. As many others have written it was noisy. We ordered a small plate to start and the fried green tomato dish was bland and tasteless. The duck entree was okay and the catfish also had no flavor!!! Bad experience. Needless to say we won't be... More

This was our first dinner visit to Glenwood Grill. Enjoyed a drink at the bar while waiting for our table. Very skilled bartender. Dinner was fantastic. I had their tomato crab bisque soup which was very much worthy the calories! We both had the filet which was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.

A friend recommended this place. I would never have found it or even if I ran across it wouldn't have known the gem that was inside. The food was very good. I had the tenderloin and Fried oysters. To be in Raleigh, the Oysters were surprising very good. Big and tasty.
