Before they run out! Loved this place. It is quirky, fresh, delicious, but not inexpensive. I had pork tenderloin and it was amazing. Fork-tender, delicious balsamic gravy. Loved it. But - what we really came for was the dessert. Unfortunately one choice was already gone (our reservation was at opening). Bummer. So we had the key-lime. It was perfect! Go... More

Quaint little place. Huge portions of food. Large slices of cake. All good! Good people that work there. Outstanding!

Visited the HBC the evening of 1/12/17 with anticipation of returning to a favorite spot with a new BF who has a good appetite. I ordered the meatloaf and he ordered the Bella Linguine. The waiter strongly suggested getting chicken added to the pasta. The meatloaf portion was plentiful as I remembered and the pasta was like a child's portion... More

Not a Walgreen's lunch counter. 3 of us ordered slices or different cakes and shared...plenty to go around. Best cake ever (sorry Mom). Pricey, but worth every penny. You can tell they are really dedicated to their art. If it has chocolate, it's even better. If you're in the area, well worth the stop.

This is a throw back to the 60's-70's where you had a luncheonette at the Pharmacy. Nice menu. Food very good. Nice Atmosphere. Desserts looked delicious and they were huge. Get there early as it does get very busy. Worth the wait though. Looking forward to going again when we are down here

We went with a few couples and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Several of us had the last of the iceburg wedge for salad and it was great! The burgers were also awesome! The wait staff was very friendly and professional. If you are not a big eater, I highly recommend you "share" with a friend. The portions are very... More

The cakes OMG! They were man sized lol Bought 4 different cake slices to take home and share ;) The bagel chips were also good, garlicky and salty and dipped in a crab artichoke dip that actually had chunks of crab meat! Tried the fried oyster, and they did not disappoint. Not too much breading and fresh taste (surprising for... More

Ok, I admit it. I'm am officially a Hayes Barton Cafe junkie. I love Margot's meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy. The portion meatloaf is HUGE. It is impossible NOT to take at least half of the portion home with you to enjoy another day. Her mashed potatoes are not too thick, not to thin, but just right. Last night,... More
