As vegetarians it is often difficult to find a restaurant with more than one option that isn't an appetizer or salad. Gravy was very accommodating. The risotto balls with cheese inside and dipping sauce were delicious. Then we had some spaghetti and some eggplant lasagne. All very good but the exact same marina sauce was used for all three, as... More

An amazing Italian restaurant in downtown Raleigh. The ambience, service, and food are outstanding. I highly recommend Gravy for dining in downtown. You will not be disappointed!

Baby shower luncheon for coworker near our office. With great apology, I did not get our waiter's name but he was great. We throw every curve at him: unexpected additional attendees, separate checks, a few "high maintenance " guests.......never batted an eye, extremely friendly & prompt service. Very good lasagna

We had a nice dinner here, we thought it was good but not great. The calamari starter was very good as were the Gnocchi, but my husband was served overcooked dry grilled tuna. Only 4 desserts on the menus. We had 2 of the 4 and were not impressed. Service was wonderful!

I'll start off by saying, we did not like the garlic rolls that they give you. It was like they weren't cooked enough. They were doughy and almost looked raw as they had no color to them. I think if they were baked longer, they would have been delicious. We didn't order any appetizers because my husband and I don't... More

Fantastic location, atmosphere and service. The food was good, but not great. Too expensive for too small of portions. There is better italian in Raleigh, but you could do a lot worse as well.

Was very underwhelmed with this restaurant that gets rave reviews from local moms. The menu is small and the sauce tastes like Ragu. For a restaurant like Gravy you'd think their sauce would be better it was too sweet. Service started out great and then our waiter disappeared. If you want a great restaurants and you're a foodie just head... More

I just ate my second meal at gravy and would recommend this restaurant to friends that are foodies. I have tried it for both lunch and dinner. I have ordered calamari as an appetizer both times and both times it has been excellent. During my lunch visit, I had a wonderful pasta dish that came with red sauce to die... More

This is our second visit to Gravy & we've loved it each time! We'll make an effort to go whenever we visit the Raleigh area. We've always been able to find parking very close to the restaurant. The meal, ambiance & the service was incredible! We ordered the calamari and it was, without a doubt, the most tender and delicious... More

We enjoyed dinner in a fun historic place. My favorite was the egg plant pie. The gnocchi was also delious. Save room for dessert.

Ask any Italian-American what ‘gravy’ is, and they'll tell you it's the pasta sauce that their mothers and grandmothers cooked fresh every night. At Gravy Restaurant we take the same care, preparing our signature sauce every day using select tomatoes and locally grown herbs. The heart and soul poured into the preparation of traditional Italian-American dishes pairs with inspired modern twists and a focus on seasonal ingredients to define Gravy’s unique approach to this classic cuisine.
