Delicious! The pimento cheese fritters and the dirty bird bowl are exactly what you're hoping for. Food came out quickly and service was friendly. Plenty of parking in this area as well as some other restaurants and shops.
I used to go to this place bc the meals are good but lately I have experienced a lot of issues with the service. They always charge me more for things, and the last time I requested the menu to confirm that again they will...not charge more, they bothered about that. That's why for a while now, I prefer to skip it. Besides that an ice latte already costs almost six bucks! (and we honestly know that it is not worth it)More
This was my first visit to The Flying Biscuit cafe and I was not disappointed. My son brought me a little after 12. It was not busy and we were seated right away. We didn't have to wait but a few minutes for a server...to take our order, however we took extra time to decide what to order since it was our first time here. The server brought us hot fluffy biscuits and apple butter to enjoy while we waited for our order. The biscuits were excellent and we loved the apple butter.. it was like apple pie in a biscuit! We waited a little while for our food but not too long. We were not disappointed! I got the strawberry stuffed french toast with over easy eggs, bacon and grits. Everything was cooked perfectly. The french toast was out of this world! Their grits were just as creamy and good as the other reviews I had read. My only complaint is that my silverware was not clean so I asked for more. The server brought me a new set and unfortunately the spoon again was not clean. The server could have been more attentive also, as he did not come back to our table to check on us. We had to ask someone else to replenish our coffee, and it was not hot. Overall we had a good experience since the food was so good, and would go back again.More
Great food, drinks, and service…what more could you want on a Thursday night?!? Shaqueen was a dream of a server with recommendations that produced a happy customer! I highly recommend the Fried Green Tomato Sandwich with sweet potato fries (and aioli sauce for dipping, thanks...to Shaqueen!!) and the Georgia Peach Punch. All around good time!More
First time being here with my girlfriend and we both loved it! Great customer service, great staff & environment all around. Will come again!
While visiting our family in Raleigh, we had an excellent breakfast at The Flying Biscuit. It is near the N.C. State campus so it is popular with students and their visiting families. The grits bowls were so tasty. The grits melted in your mouth and...it was filled with eggs, meat, onions, tomatoes and peppers. The biscuits were great! They had a lot of variety on their menu. They have a nice outdoor dining area too. Even though it was cold outside, the warm heaters kept us warm. The food is filling and the prices reasonable. It's a great place to eat!More
Delicious southern favorites, known for their breakfast and biscuits. Must go for brunch. Chain restaurant with locations all over the region.
I have nothing positive or negative to say about the service & honestly I could care less how that goes. The food is amazing. If anyone you meet says they got a better Southern Style Benedict elsewhere… don’t trust them with anything in your life.
We tried the eccentric Flying Biscuit Cafe for the first time. Biscuits came out semi-warm with apple cranberry butter. They were the best part of the meal. My grits were “barely” warm, eggs pretty good, and not-so-good sage sausage. The hamburger and club sandwich were...just okay. Our waitress was not friendly and had zero personality. We had to wait forever on our food, however, the manager was extremely nice and came over to apologize. We may possibly give it another try because he was so nice, and we’ve since heard that have really good pancakes. We would hope to have a better waitress next time because a waitress can make or break a meal!More
My daughter and I had brunch today at the Flying Biscuit in the Village District in Raleigh, NC. The food was outstanding! I had the Piedmont omelette, grits, biscuits, and cranberry apple butter! My daughter had eggs, bacon, and pancakes! Everything was great! The only...thing better than the food was the service. Our server was Alexis and she was one of the best servers that we have had for a long time—very friendly, attentive, and fun! Several other servers also stopped by our table to see if we needed anything as well! Excellent all around! We will definitely eat there again!More
We never got served. The staff here looked miserable, stood around in the kitchen a lot, pretended not to notice people seated at tables, and more. After waiting about 20 minutes with our waitress pretending not to notice us, we got up and went next...door for a lovely lunch. They also had a major fly problem indoors, which was kind of gross.More
Stopped here for a meal that made the entire family happy while visiting NC state. Biscuits were delish and everyone liked their choices - breakfast and lunch. Options! This will be a standard stop if NC State is the chosen school! It was a long...wait but it was the weekend and expected.More
This was our second time here. My son had a berry stuffed french toast dish that I wish I had ordered…. I am not ashamed to say I scraped his dish clean of all the raspberry goodness he left behind. It was divine! I had...a vegetable egg scramble that was delicious as well. The grits are very, very good… I don't think I have ever had grits so creamy! Overall, I must say that I am most impressed at how well seasoned all their food is. Not many restaurants get this right…. But they do! I wish I lived in the area…. I would visit much more often!More
Second time visiting Flying Biscuit Chapel Hill. Had the pancake breakfast taco. It was two pancakes loaded with eggs, cheese and chicken sausage. A lot to eat and very good food. This place to make my permanent breakfast location list.
