Delicious barbecue. Loved the biscuits and definitely the hush puppies brought before meal. Wish we would have know portions were huge because two people could share an entree. My hubby got chopped beef and turkey. Both good but the turkey - oh my! I got chopped beef and fried chick men. Yummy. The cream corn and sweet potato fries were... More

We had not been to the Pit a awhile. We decided to eat lunch there on a recent Saturday afternoon. I had forgotten how incredible their BBQ pork is! And you can choose Eastern or Western NC sauce. I also had the Brunswick Stew, which was also incredible! We'll be going more often now.

Love the smoked BBQ , esp the chared end pieces , but it is pricey :) The atmosphere is awesome - very lively. Don't care how everything is a la cart. A little stingy on the hushpuppies.

I prefer traditional barbecue rather than a vinegar based sauce. Great chicken and ribs at the pit with a traditional bbq sauce.

Great food. Great service and great atmosphere. We had to wait to be seated but no longer than they wait we were told. Nice big bar to wait in. Ribs are amazing.

The Pit was recommended by a friend that was born and raised in North Carolina. It was fantastic. Loved every bite. Cool place. Great service. It was my first time to NC and wanted to try the BBQ. I learned that there are two types of BBQ in NC. My girlfriend and I liked both. But my fav was the... More

I had the triple combo and was not disappointed it was a lot of food and very good BBQ, cornbread, and HUGE carrot cake. Good service and cool atmosphere.

Very good BBQ restaurant with a variety of meats. They also give you a lot of food for a good deal. The Carolina style BBQ and chopped BBQ is pretty good. Very different from regular Texas style BBQ. The sauce is very vinegary, strong, and a little spicy. I prefer sweet BBQ but this was interesting to have. Also, the... More

The ribs and brisket are awesome. Be sure to get the fried Mac and Cheese as well. Service is friendly. Be sure to ask for more hush puppies!

There is a creepy wall that says squeal but other than that the food is good and the waitstaff excellent. Went for date night but good with friends and fam too
