We went here for the first time for dinner. The pizza and stromboli are very good. There is a nice dining room and plenty of tables including booths. When you walk in you have to order your food and pay then wait. There are a...lot of employees there not sure why they just don’t have waiters. The music was a little loud if you want to talk you better get your meal to go. The employees should dress for work.More
My family and I were so happy that they opened up so close to us. My son and husband absolutely love their BLTs and fries. I thoroughly enjoy their NY Style pizza and sausage and peppers with marinara. The service is always polite and we...just enjoy the place.More
We accidentally found this deli while looking for another restaurant. This is our newest favorite restaurant!
This deli/restaurant is what you might find in NYC or in Philly...fresh food served hot and exactly as ordered. After you place your order at the counter (This is...more difficult than you can imagine. The choices are quite numerous and varied.), your order is brought to your table/booth by a smiling waitress who is actually concerned about everything being perfect while you are dining there.
We will definitely be returning in the near future.
BTW There is delivery for those in a 5 mile radius of the deli.More
My family and I have been to this restaurant a couple of times. The restaurant is normally clean and has a good atmosphere; staff is usually friendly, courteous, and provides quick service; and the food is made hot, fresh, and tastes pretty good. If you’re...in the area, I recommend giving this place a try.More
I am a philly Native that is always searching for a good northeastern style pizza. This place hits the nail on the head. You can order by the slice, or the whole pizza. It was hot and greasy just like at home. The buffalo wings...were pretty good too. definitely recommend.More
Was in the area and felt like a quick bite, a late lunch. I tried a slice of there pizza and was very pleasantly surprised. The pizza is what you might expect from a local shop in Queens, or Northern New Jersey. The crust is...thin, which I prefer, the sauce has a definite oregano flair that is also common to the Northeastern states. The restaurant/deli is attractively decorated and spotlessly clean. They even offer a military discount, which in such a close proximity to Fort Bragg is really nice. The staff is very friendly and pleasant.More
Hubby and I are from NY and are always on the lookout for great NY style pizza and we have found it here at Taste of New York. I am excited to try their other food but for sure I am sold on the pizza....We did take out.More
This is a pretty good restaurant and one of the new ones on Flagstone Lane.
We have eaten there many times and will continue to do so because the food is good, reasonably priced and the owner and staff actually care.
My first trip in...I ordered their NY Reuben and what showed up looked nothing like a Reuben. It looked exactly like a Philly Cheese steak and tasted like one.
The owner explained to me that "Southerners" don't seem to like the "traditional Reuben....toasted rye, lots of pastrami, sour kraut all covered with Thousand Island dressing. So he came up with something that would sell. If you showed the first sandwich I got to any deli within a mile of Times Square NY they would laugh you out of the city.
But here is where this owner and staff make a difference versus say the Mega Hibachi next door. The owner had his cook staff make me up a REAL Reuben and it is goooooood. Need to work on composition a little but GOOOOOD.
Plus, I came in once and asked for a thin and crispy pepperoni pizza. Not on menu but they made me one. That is customer care and one reason they will have my loyal business.
If you want super crispy and tasty fries, this is the place for you. This will be my go to place for beyond great fries.
If you have read any of my restaurant reviews, you know it is very rare for me to give a good review. I find most owners and staff should try other careers. But this is a really good restaurant and will be coming back. They will work out the new place kinks I am sure. One thing for sure, no business can count on just one person to do certain things and if he isn't there it don't happen. Went in for a sandwich the other day and couldn't get it or a pizza and a few other things because the guy who "normally" makes them isn't there. Here is the word...CROSS TRAIN.
Like I said, some glitches but good food at good prices and they will be seeing my ugly face a lot.More
