We stopped at Dolly's for an ice cream after traveling through the Pisgah forest. Lots of flavors to choose from and hit the hunger spot before moving on.

An icon in the NC mountains, this dairy bar is a 'Must see and eat'. The ice cream can't be beat! The neat thing is that they cater to the summer camp population as camps drop by frequently bringing Small groups returning fom mhiking and other outside adventures Each area camp has a flavor named in its honor

Lots of ice cream flavors, along with sundaes, shakes, and floats. Generous servings and good prices.

Dolly's is right at the entrance to Pisgah National Forest. Stop by for a cool treat after a hot adventurous day. Great flavor variety based on local camps. There are often fast-moving lines of happy customers. Great treat and a MUST if you're in the area.

What a delightful way to spend time on a hot summer afternoon! The atmosphere is totally relaxed but exceptionally refreshing. The service was good but the ice cream was better. The servings were amazingly large but not as large as the smiles on our faces as we shared time at the shaded tables.

After a day in the forest we stopped for treats. We purchased cones and sundaes. They were tasty and everyone was pleased. We were surprised by the generous portions! Other customers seemed to be as well. This little place seemed to stay busy. Glad we stopped.

The ice cream here is the best, both in quality and in flavors. In addition to a long list of more common flavors, Dolly's features some really unusual tastes as well. Look for the custom-made flavors named after local summer camps. Just one example: How about chocolate ice cream, salted pretzel chunks, and pretzel-flavored fudge? Unbelievably delicious!

I have been to Dolly's Dairy Bar multiple times. It is hard to find good ice cream places, and I prefer to drink milkshakes. I know that I'm being a pig, but I usually, since I come to Dolly's from out of town, try to quench my milkshake craving by ordering 3 milkshakes. Usually I will get a pistachio one,... More

We wait for this place to open in the spring and hate to see it close in the fall. You can't go wrong here. The worst part is deciding what you want.

They have great ice cream...Too bad the students taking orders are SUPER rude! After two nights of going there we won't be visiting again due to the bad service. They need to teach their employees how to have a more friendly attitude for 5 stars.
