Had dinner at 1895 on July 3. Service was very good, but food just didn’t measure up. Prices are high and portions are very small. The Lobster entree resembled an appetizer. Won’t be rushing back. Many other restaurants in Pinehurst and Southern Pines to choose...More

Micheal assisted us with wine selections and enjoyable historic detail of the building. We arrived feeling rushed and gracious transitioned into a night of ease. The filet and...More

My favorite meal is the Indian curry dish; however, the portion size is just too small for the price. The place is decent but can be quite noisy during lunchtime. If you're a visitor in the area and want "healthy" food, then I would recommend...More

We were disappointed with our dinner at the 1895 Grille. They need to train the wait staff, so that food is served timely - not lukewarm and dried out on a re-heated plate - or to have dessert plates on hand when presenting the warm...More

Beef cheeks and lobster mac and cheese was excellent. The rest, not so much. Shrimp and grits were served cold? Steak was really chewy. And the chocolate souffle everyone raves about... it was burnt. Too much time between courses. Service was okay, but they were...More
