We had shrimp tacos and guacamole for dinner and it was so good my husband went back the next morning for a breakfast burrito. Everything was prepared fresh while we waited, and even on a busy Thursday evening in summer it only took about 15 minutes. The cheese quesadilla was a hit with the kids, and much bigger than we anticipated.

An early breakfast is hard to find on 'Croke, so i usually end up at the Pony Island for our morning meal. At the suggestion of a friend we tried Eduardo's and are forever changed!!! We had an egg and steak and cheese burrito and a Hot Mess burrito from their breakfast offerings. Both were huge and tasted spectacular. Hot mess is just about everything you can think of - potato, onion, chorizo, bacon, egg, avacado, salsa and habernaro sauce - in a burrito. We travel a lot and the only thing even close to the taste and quality of this food is the TexMex food we've enjoyed in Colorado. Only negative comment is that they dont serve coffee. I need this libation to start my day so we took a walk around the corner to the coffee shop. Restaurant opens at 8 AM. Enjoy.

We frequent this food truck style restaurant each time we visit Ocracoke (sometimes 2-3 times throughout the week). The food is always fresh and delicious. One caveat- prepared for a 15-25 min wait during peak hours. They now have seating available. Worth the wait!

We all walked up for a very late breakfast and I tried the crab bacon burrito and was a little disappointed, tasting little crab or bacon. It was loaded with avocado and overloaded with refried beans, and it oozed out of the burrito with every bite starting about half way down. My wife on the other hand, enjoyed her spinach, egg and cheese taco and would order it again. Our other two guests were also split between OK and very good. I did like that they had seating out front with picnic tables which we utilized. Being that they are so highly rated, I would certainly try another menu item on a return trip. They need to carry orange juice in their drink cooler.

We read the reviews and decided to try this place. We were not disappointed! I had the grilled marinated scallop burrito and my partner had the chicken. They were amazing. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the mix of goodies in the burritos were perfectly balanced , fresh and delicious. And the portions were huge! Cooked fresh to order and served with a smile. Don’t miss this if you are on the island!

Eduardo’s Taco Stand has some of the best food I’ve ever had!! The staff is friendly and hardworking. You might have to wait a little bit for your food, but that’s to be expected when everything is made to order and there are several people ordering. It’s well worth the wait! You can also call ahead to order so that is convenient too. We had the chorizo breakfast burritos which are huge and have just the right balance of spice, cheese, egg, and black beans. My daughter loved her gringo tacos and cheese quesadilla. I tried the carnitas for the first time and loved it! My husband had the seafood tacos and asked to go to Eduardo’s several times the rest of the week so he could have them again. You truly can’t go wrong with anything you order! Give it one try and you’ll be hooked!

I had eaten at Eduardos at the old location a couple years ago. I loved it then. Food was great and prices were reasonable. Boy has it changed!!! This time around the woman at the window was not friendly and appeared annoyed when I asked for one each of the chicken, Asada, and carnita tacos in the 3 taco meal. (I had done this last time). She said they all had to be the same kind. This was fine with us, I got a chicken order, my daughter got a steak order, and I asked to add a single carnitas taco for $3+ (as it shows on menu.) She said ok. We ordered a cheese quesadilla and added chicken. We ordered Two beef burritos with the chorizo add on (*1.50) We ordered Five drinks. Total. $102 At a taco truck. Yikes. $20 per person? I was so busy trying to lift my jaw off the ground that i didn’t notice the woman signed my fiancé’s name herself when he ran the card and didn’t offer a receipt. Rushed us along to go to the next person. I sat in front of the menu and no matter how many times I re calculated it, I couldn’t figure how it cost more than about $70. I didn’t want to, but eventually had my fiancé ask for our receipt. I just couldn’t let it go. $100 was a lot. She very obviously didn’t want to give it, but once she texted it to him…. Wow. The burritos were both put in as chicken which were more expensive by $1-2 each, the chorizo upcharge was $2 each instead of $1.50, she charged the whole meal price for the one carnita taco, and an $8 upcharge to add chicken to the quesadilla. He confronted her on the overcharges and she got irritated and had him put his card in so they could give the money back. My son also tried to get the ‘side of fiesta Mexican cheese’ to add to the tacos for a dollar and she refused to give it to him. Telling him they don’t do that. Although it is clearly on the menu. Very disappointed because I was SO excited to go back. Definitely my last time.

Eduardo's offers a menu of tropical and Hispanic fusion foods that is about as good as you could get anywhere. The food is made fresh, and is inexpensive for the quality you get. Breakfast burritos are exceptional. This is always one of the most popular eateries on Ocracoke.

We chose to share the chicken burrito, which was served in an oval shaped bowl. Ingredients were excellent. The food truck bills itself as "regional Mexican". Perhaps that designation is reflected in the minimal amount of Cumin and other spices in the meal. Given the minimal spices- you can taste the beans, cheese, tomato, onion, grilled chicken, and so forth! Beverages, such as Coke, are sold in glass bottles. If I lived here, I'd visit often.

Put on your stretch pants before you eat here! We ordered the grilled chicken tacos and opened the box to see 3 massive tacos loaded with goodies. Could not eat but 2 of them! It is a food truck but has nice picnic tables and umbrellas so you can eat there. We loved it!

First, let me congratulate Eduardo on reopening the taco truck and moving in a little closer to town! I was happy to see Eduardos thriving on Ocracoke! That being said, I was so happy to get one of Eduardo's tacos! I had chicken tacos one night and the fish tacos on another night. They aren't super complicated tacos. They're just little corn or flour tortilla bites of goodness with really fresh ingredients that make for a yummy lunch, liner or dinner. The outdoor atmosphere is laid back and inviting and now there is even more room and space to sit and eat. The festive music set an authentic tone. If your're in the mood for a taco....on Ocracoke.....then I would highly recommend Eduardos. Simple. Good. Food.

One of our highlights of traveling to Ocracoke has always been stopping at Eduardo's for lunch or dinner. Their new menu is half of what the old menu used to be. You can still see the old menu if you google Eduardo's. Prices have gone up a lot and the quality of the food they now serve is not as good as it used to be. It is very disappointing and I don't think I will be coming back......so very sad.

We’ve always looked forward to eating here every visit to Ocracoke and usually do so many times in a week’s stay. This visit for lunch was just not up to their usual standards. Very skimpy portions and increased prices. Spent $35+ for the two of us for lunch and not that much food. Also we waited about an hour after ordering. They were busy but I’ve seen them much busier and not as long a wait. My husband got a hot mess another visit and was well pleased with it. One trip was enough for me and that is sad. There’s competition now with another taco truck so better step it back up, Eduardo!

After readings so many raving reviews, we had to try Eduardo’s Taco Stand on Ocracoke Island. The stand is conveniently located just across the street from the road to the lighthouse. The outdoor seating is abundant and comfortable, complete with umbrellas. The only bad thing about Eduardo’s is that there are so many yummy options it’s really hard to know what to pick. We were a group of eight, so we were able to try a variety of options and while everything was great, we definitely had our favorites. The top of our list was the Shrimp tacos with lettuce, pico de gallo, and avocados on a flour tortilla. – The spice blend on the shrimp was complete on point and the acidity of the topping balanced everything perfectly. Next on our list was the Cheesy Grilled Shrimp Mango Taco. If you’re wondering why, it’s cheesy, it’s because there are two corn tortillas with cheese in between that are toasted on a griddle before adding the taco ingredients. This taco was fantastic, but definitely on the richer side. You would not want more than two and if you had two you would be stuffed. My daughter had the chicken and cheese quesadilla… I know what you’re thinking, “it’s chicken and cheese, what’s the big deal?” Well, all I can say is that the flavor of the grilled chicken was exceptional, and it was the best quesadilla I’ve ever tasted. It even came with salsa and sour cream for dipping. What a great place for a great meal!

We waited way too long for a very mediocre shrimp taco and chips with salsa. There were only a few shrimp in each taco and it was clearly put together (sloppily) by a teenager. The salsa did not taste home made at all. They were out of guacamole (their star food) one hour after opening.
