Wow! Exceptional service, drinks, and dinner. Ate there twice on a getaway vacation because it was so good. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Shrimp & Grits and bacon & Gorgonzola ribeye were our absolute favorites. The steak was honestly one of the best we have ever eaten - perfectly cooked medium rare with a deliciously perfect char. Prices are... More

Girl friends and I had a Christmas party here. It was crowded, but the service was great. I had a salad with grilled shrimp- it was good, but nothing special. This restaurant is famous for their Shrimp and Grits. A few months ago, I had an appetizer of oysters and grits- this was so delicious. I need to go back... More

I selected another appetizer for dinner because it sound so good. Lump crab or roasted red pepper humus with roasted pita bread bites. This was also... More

We have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. The menu has a big variety for lunch and dinner. Seafood is offered in many options as well as chicken and steak. On our recent trip to New Bern we sat at a window spot upstairs that looks out over the historic section of town and the merging rivers. Large... More

A short walk from the courtyard was Chelsea. Rated 4th best restaurant in Newbern we had to try it. Dined upstairs with a nice view. Friendly service and clean surroundings. Nice menu from steak to seafood. But the chicken was fantastic. Try the paella, it's yummy. Strongly recommend eating here.

Expensive, All items ala carte, the bacon wrapped scallops were very good. The shrimp and grits appetizer was missing grits! The server was helpful but did not keep up with drinks, etc. Was in a group half the group got their meal 15 minutes after my table finished. Not Good.

We went to this restaurant when our son graduated from East Carolina. Could not get a reservation in Greenville and my husband had eaten at The Chelsea before so he suggested us going there. So glad we didn't get a reservation in Greenville. This place is beautiful and the food is some of the best we have ever eaten. We... More

If you've never had shrimp and grits, this is the place. And if you've had them, these will be better. One of New Bern's more upscale restaurants and a favorite place for celebrating special occasions. Bistro style downstairs, more sedate atmosphere upstairs, but noisy everywhere when there's a crowd due to the acoustics of the hard surfaces. Really good menu... More

Wife had the filet, I had the New Orleans pasta. So good. I will be coming back. The staff were quick and friendly, the drinks were good, and there were plenty of things to do in the area.

Thank Ryan M
