Because we had gone here as a first-night on vacation for many years, we brought our son and his family here for old times sake. While the fried seafood is acceptable (except for the crab cakes, which are basically filler), I would advise careful ordering beyond the fried seafood area. The chefs salad had chunks of ham that did not... More

This is a hometown favorite. When I travel to New Bern, I stop in here every other trip. They have a large variety on the menu and you can eat in or take out. If you are visiting, this is a good economical option. If I am going seafood, it is fried. I ordered the combination of 2, shrimp and... More

We gave Friday's another try. The food is average, some can use more seasoning. DO NOT TRY THE CRAB CAKES.... they are just crab flavored balls of stuffing!

Go to WalMart and get seafood from the frozen section and you will have a better meal. Nice atmosphere but not nice seafood!!

We saw the add in our campground brochure. Said let's try it. Found the place and it looked rather dismal. Tried it anyway. Salad bar was fresh with adequate choices. Menu had many choices but was a bit confusing. I had the fried fisherman's platter. It was good but a better choice would have been broiled. Our server Linda was... More

Service was terrible and food came to table only slightly warm. We will not waste our time or money there again!

The food was OK, but uneven in quality across the dishes. The restaurant seems run-down and suffering from the competition. Service was great though, with plenty of consideration given to the toddler in our group. I would not rush back to this restaurant.

Incredible. Ordered the crab cakes and, search as I might, could find not a speck of crab. When I talked the manager, he said Friday's featured "essence of crab". I asked him if he'd like to be paid in essence of money.

We have been here twice. Our first time was so dreadful we were sure it was an isolated event. Service dreadful, we watched the staff eat and shoot the breeze only a few tables away, while we waited over 20 min for cold, greasy food. We live nearby, love seafood, and the locals praise this place, so we tried again.... More

Friday's is kind of run down but the food is very reasonably priced and tasty. Excellent fried chicken and fish.
