We stopped for lunch after touring Tryon Palace at the recommendation of some locals. Interesting decor but more importantly there was an unusual variety of sandwiches. My husband said the “gobbling cow” was great. I had the “lemoon chicken” which was fine but I couldn’t...taste anything lemon. Just sorry we didn’t get ice cream. It looked delicious.More

A wonderful church had it catered our staff. All the food was excellent. Generous portions, pleasant display and salads, drinks were really good. The ice cream for desert was outstanding. Made a lot of hungry staff so happy and humbled that a church would think...to feed us during the pandemic.More

Staying in New Bern and decided to walk downtown. Stopped in for lunch at the Cow Café. Quaint little cafe, has a little train that circles the shop close to the ceiling. Employees and owner very friendly and the café feels a little nostalgic. Ordered...the Cuban cow and Cole slaw as my side. Very tasty and filling. Wife had the Mama Mooa's meatball sub and side of pasta salad. She thought they too were good. Also an ice cream shop and sells various flavors of popcorn. Must use street parking or nearby parking lot. Definitely recommend and will return.More

We walked from our hotel to get ice cream. The ice cream was great. The little train going around near the ceiling is cool. Don't know if we hit them at a bad time, but the popcorn selection was almost empty. We left this visit...with NO popcorn.More

This is a charming place for sandwiches/ salads and ice cream. We stopped here after a day of walking and shopping and it was perfect for an afternoon lunch.

It was all OK. I had a Greek Cow which was filling and tasty enough, but most of the sauce which gave it flavor was at the bottom. The ice cream afterwards which was supposed to be award winning tasted way too much like the...gooey kind they have at Coldstone which I am not a fan of.More

We had the clucking pig, the gobbling cow, and the moolicious caesar. They were all amazing! Definitely would hit this place up for lunch again. WOW!

The reviews does not match our experience. The people working were not friendly but we thought maybe a bad day the food arrived and it was nasty. Subway has better sandwiches. Didn’t feel we could complain because of the unfriendliness of the staff.

This place will not disappoint the sweet tooth. I never had anything bad here. Very clean establishment and friendly staff to greet you. This is a must do stop in when visiting the downtown area.
