Service excellant. Food very good. Menu hard to decipher (two of the four of us had cell phones out trying to find definitions of terms used on the menu) and quite pricey. Small but intimate place. Must have reservations because it is so small. Don't have to go back anytime soon, but would if a family member, or friends, wanted... More

I see a lot of reviews complaing about the noise level. This is a cozy place with amazing food and I would NOT pass this up! Hidden gem in New Bern! We discovered it as we were walking by. I tried a summer soup which was a cold pea and mint soup. To my surprise it was fantastic. I absolutely... More

Arugula salad was extremely salty. The carrot/ginger soup had a lovely flavor but was lukewarm. The scallops were good. The special, Trigger fish was just fair. The dessert was the best dish. Their carrot cake is to die for! Been awhile since we've eaten there. It was good, but nothing special. Our waiter was new and not too knowledgeable.

Glad we made reservations! This place is small and busy. Every table was booked. Our table was right near the door and it was a little distracting at times as folks came and went and were turned away. It gets a little noisy at the front end of the seatings, but once food gets to the table, things quiet down... More

Dinner at 247 Craven is a great locavore experience, but you need to know what to expect. First, it's a tiny space with a small bar: Do not expect to simply walk in for dinner on Saturday night and get a table. Second, the small space makes it rather loud. Now that we have that out of the way, know... More

We had a double date dinner. This place is fairy small, so making a reservation is recommended. The food on the menu were creative and presentable. They were somewhat small in portion. As for taste, it was fair.

We had no trouble fitting in to this relatively intimate restaurant on Craven and found the atmosphere and service to match the excellent menu. We tried 2 entrees that evening- Salmon and Scallops with Risotto, both were outstanding. When we return to New Bern we will be sure to make Craven 247 a stop.

I took my girlfriend for a couple of their 247 Hotdogs, but the waiter explained they aren't available for dinner. Afterwards she decided she desired their famous Pimento cheese and soup, however she would like the cheese on two pieces of toasted bread as a sandwich. I echoed the same. The waiter disappeared for a moment only to return the... More

This is a very good restaurant with very good food. I ordered to "spaghetti" and it was excellent, but not traditional. It was served with cheese, butter, and some kind of sweet sauce. Not quite what I expected-- nonetheless it was amazing. The service was attentive and tasteful. 247 Craven is a very small restaurant, about 10 tables + bar.

We had lunch at the restaurant. I asked for an egg omelet and the chef was great about doing it for me. Very fresh with delicious veggies. Highly recommend
