This was not our first visit to Fish Heads, nor, by any means, our last. We had family with us this time and they definitely want to return. The happy hour with the shrimp special is great. Fish Heads seems to be frequented by a lot of local residents, which speaks highly for the establishment. Can't wait again to return.... More

Sitting over the ocean 🌊 having a drink and listening to music. Great to spend and afternoon. Good hangout at night. Party atmosphere after sunset.

Bar food served with a smile in a relaxing atmosphere ON THE BEACH, without the sand in your shoes, though that is accessible too if you like. Many craft beers on tap and Larry's Lemonade, definitely worth having.

I loved this restaurant! It is basically a tiki bar and serves bar food but the location is wonderful! I could have sat there for hours over the beach watching the beautiful surf. The food was not fancy but it was good. We came for lunch twice while staying in Nags Head and had shrimp, burger, fries etc. The service... More

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. It wasnt happy hour but was semi busy. We sat at the bar top which wasnt full at all. Took 5 minutes for the bartender to even acknowledge us. Disappointed they didnt have a full bar, we decided to stay anyway. We had a hotdog fries and a burger. All was average, the burger... More

Stopped in on recommendations from locals. Extensive beer list, outdoor tiki bar, and seating on the pier. No alcohol, but they offer quirky sake drinks, for example, the sake margherita!?! Seafood is decent and affordable. We sampled the conch fritters, crab cakes and fish tacos. All very good! Enjoyed a 3-piece band. Bummer that the restrooms are in a separate... More

Let me start with if you are looking for curbside drop off and valet parking, go elsewhere! It is a bit of an odd setup but hey the food is good, the beer was cold, and the shrimp was perfectly steamed, and the prices are very reasonable. One negative, if you must use the restroom, you have to go back... More

Great bar and gorgeous ocean views! The only negative about this place is that it and other outer banks spots don't serve food past 9pm. My husband and I are late eaters, so this was a big adjustment for us.

Typical bar food, all good. Recommend the crab cakes. Service good; Great views, located right on the ocean.

We stopped in for drinks late one evening. Place was very busy and noisy, fun, "island" atmosphere. A 3 piece band was playing, mostly "Jamaican" style music. It was raining heavily that night, but the bar was fun and the rain didn't matter. Only negative comment is that I ordered a "7 and 7" (Seagrams whiskey) and was told they... More
