This was one of our best stops on our Thanksgiving road trip!! We traveled on Thanksgiving Day, hoping to find a decent lunch in unfamiliar territory. We stopped in Murfreesboro and Whitley's was the only place open. Oh my, what a feast we found inside. Buffet style home cooking, and it was all delicious. Wonderful surprise.

I absolutely love eating at Whitleys! It's quite a surreal dining experience for me. My grandfather, a master carpenter, layed the hard wood floors in the main dining room a lonnnnnng time ago. My dad remembers my grandfather returning home after a long days work with sore knees, to say the least. Next time you visit there to dine on... More

This was the restaurant of choice during a college fair at Chowan University, and i tell you, the food was so, and we ate so much...we literally wobbled out of there. The is the best of Southern BBQ mixed with some soul food. If i'm ever in town on business, I will be back

This restaurant is a great place to take a date, a group or just steal off and go it alone. The most affordable buffet style or plate dinner place in this area. A quick cross over from Southampton County Virginia to eat some great soul food, a mouth watering steak or feast on crab legs on Friday's. Open Wednesday thru... More

Had not been there in a while. Expected to see Italian foods on the buffet being it was Wednesday about 5 P.M.. No Italian food, just their regular offerings. Some of the food was not very hot. My husband and his mother raved about the fruit cobbler, said it was the best they had eaten there. Not on the desert... More

Don't eat here unless you are really, really hungry. The wide variety of food makes you want to try a sample of everything, but believe you me, I speak from experience when I say you can not do this. I have made myself sick trying to do this after church on Sundays. The best thing is the deviled eggs. it... More
