Marvelous Mexican food! Stopped

Marvelous Mexican food! Stopped here on the way south and enjoyed it so much we stopped again on the way back. The camarones a la diabla was one of the best Mexican dishes I’ve had in years. The enchiladas suizas were also excellent and the margaritas were good and only $2.99. Several cuts above the usual Mexican fare east of the Missouri. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed eating dinner here one night. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and the interior is authentic in Mexican style. I ordered chicken tacos which were good and filling. I also ordered a margarita which was actually good tasting not your typical gringo watered down lack of alcohol flavored margarita. Service was good and I had no issues here. I would recommend coming here if you’re looking for some good Mexican food.

Great food and Service

We were told by one of the locals that we could get good Mexican food here. He was right. Food was excellent and our waitress, Cassandra, took care of us. We would return when in Mount Airy area.

My dinner, a shrimp palusa was excellent. Shrimp was tender and the cheese sauce so much better than just melted shredded cheese. My husband had a tasteless chicken breast (but tender) topped with a crystalized, over-cooked slice of steak and chorizo on top. When we suggested to the mask covered waitress, she said it is supposed to be cooked all the way thru. He left it on the plate and poured the sauce from the chips over the chicken. I did not see the tables being wiped between guests but perhaps I missed it.

Quality has suffered since Covid.

Since the Covid this restaurant has went down Hill. Food quality has suffered and getting an order correct is a thing of the past. We have been eating here for years but today was the last time. I'm a forgiving person since I have worked in food service and I understand how hard the work is and having a bad day. However this has been ongoing and there are other Mexican Restaurants in this town. I will be trying them from now on.

We were passing through town and found this gem. Everyone on the staff we encountered was a joy. Our waiter was even more so. The food was very good and plentiful. We left stuffed. Best of all, the price was very reasonable. If we come through here again we will be sure to stop.

Great Mexican food

Delicious food and great service! Had the shrimp quesadilla with a strawberry margarita 🤗 Very busy and still great service. Best margarita I’ve ever had!

Going to find another Mexican restaurant when I’m in town now

They only give you two tortillas with your fajitas. They give you a plate for at least five tortillas. Then they want to charge you more money for Tortillas

Bunch annoying Mexicans don’t take this Covid serious no mask no sanitizing no social distancing what the hell is wrong maybe they can’t speak English I don’t understand tacos were pretty good though

Me and my friend are both vegetarian and decided to get mexican because they usually have a vegetarian section of the menu. This one did not, but the waiter/kitchen was more than happy to accommodate us ordering off menu. The food was great! The service was good. The spicy salsa was really spicy. I loved it and will try to come back when in the area.

Went there while staying in Mt. Airy passing through for one night. My husband and I both ordered the fajitas. Wow ! delicious and they give you a tone of shrimp. The rice and guacamole were just ok. I make better guacamole. But the fajitas were great.

Been eating here for years but will not return. Our waitress today at lunch was clueless. She was still in training. Didn’t know anything about the menu. My husband pointed to the lunch fajitas. When we got the bill we were charged for the dinner size because she rang it in wrong. Manager would not change it because he said my husband ate the dinner portion so he would have to pay for it. The manager sent his new employee in training to let us know. Didn’t even have the courtesy to come tell us we had to pay for something we didn’t order. She also tried to charge us for an extra salad because my dish came with salad or rice and I said I wanted the salad. I also ordered ground beef but got shredded beef. My husbands salsa bowl stayed empty half the time. With all this the manager still decided that an extra $5 was worth losing a long term customer. Very sad.

Awesome Food!

All of Mount Airy's Mexican Restaurants are god, but this place has the best food of them all! Excellent manager that goes to great lengths to make sure you have good service.

The chips and salsa are pretty good. Warm. That's always a good test to the food coming. If chips and sauce crappy,,,food will be too. Holy crap!!! The food was fabulous!! I thought I was back in Mexico !!!!! Spicy and good,good,good!!!! Had the burrito .For those of you not into spicy,stay with the cheese dip. For you spicy lovers,substitute that cheese dip with hot sauce on the side!!!! The rice was absolutely the most favorable and moist rice!!! This is a 100% come back when in the area again. People were so friendly. That's a plus! Alrighty then,,,,adios my peeps!! Carry on !!! Kudos to cooks, waitresses,and entire staff.
