The staff was so friendly. The shakes were great. A must when visiting Mayberry. Very reasonably priced....shakes were $4 and they brought out the mixer tumbler to refill your glass.

This is a fun stop. The food options are good and the malts and coffee are great! There is easily enough milkshake or malt to split with someone, if you wanted too. The line to be seated moves pretty quickly. The folks are very friendly...More
Thanks, It's wonderful people like you who make our jobs so enjoyable.
I was disappointed in the atmosphere here. As I know we visited on a very busy weekend, it was very evident that these folks can’t handle this many people and their stress level was very high. The tempers was showing and we even watched one...More

I had been waiting all summer to have a root beer float and decided that it would happen in Mt. Airy at Walker’s, I was in ‘float heaven’ when it came to the table....lots of ice cream and it was excellent!!
So glad we were the one to send you to float heaven.
This place has a lot of history! You could almost picture a teenaged Andy Griffith sitting at the counter (he likely actually did). Old time decor and super ice cream sundaes. The owner stopped by our table and shared some stories. Friendly place in a...More
Thanks for visiting with us.
It was warm that day so we got ice cream. I had the peach ice cream. It was the best I have ever had. Large chunks of peaches in almost every bit. Wonderful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our food here--cheap prices in an area of higher prices. Chili dog was 2.00, Carolina chili cheese burger 4.50 --large menu of various sandwiches. One page of drink flavors. Hand dipped ice cream. Nice people, comfortable. Recommend.
We were here during Mayberry Days, but came during the "off times" so it wasn't too busy. We have had to wait before, but it's worth it. We had hamburgers this trip. I had mine without the roll and it was presented attractively with all...More
