My wife's grandfather was recently in town (Charlotte) from Maine. He grew up watching the Andy Griffith show so we all thought he would enjoy a trip up to Mt. Airy. Upon our arrival, many on the street told us to grab a bite to eat at Snappy Lunch. We had 12 people in our group and had lunch for... More

The service was great I think all three girls ask us if we needed anything else about three different times. The Pork chop sandwich was excellent. Everyone was enjoying themselves like a country restaurant. I enjoyed everything. Thank you to the staff everyone was great.

I came into town for a quick visit and everyone told me that I had to visit snappy lunch. Tried out the pork chop sandwich all the way. It came out really quick and was very enjoyable! Hope to get to go back again soon.

The Chamber advises us to get the famous pork sandwich here and we were not disappointed in the least. Upon ordering I noticed that the sandwich consisted of a pork chop, chili, Cole slaw, and tomato. I had some misgivings because I was not sure what these would taste like together. I got my husband's without the slaw but mine... More

Oh my what a great place to visit. You MUST have the pork chop sandwich. Nothing like you've ever had before and oh so good.

Back in the '60, I could recall an occasional mention of the Snappy Lunch on The Andy Griffith Show. It was presented as just a Home Town Diner in Mayberry where all the locals went. I've been to Mt. Airy many times over the years and at one time had a major customer here. For some reason, I never got... More

How can you go to Mt. Airy and not stop here? It's a must. Waited about 15 minutes to get in and it was well worth the wait. Had the fried pork chop sandwich with the works and a soda. Was a great choice. Very fast and friendly service made the experience even better.

The price is cheap which is a good thing. Got the famous pork chop sandwich. Major disappointment, the plainest pork chop I have ever had. This is a prom chop deep fried in some batter that has zero flavor. Ended up also ordering a hit with slaw and chili which was spot on red hot dog. Honestly other than the... More

They have really good biscuits. I tend to get a bacon biscuit and you get a good portion for the price. It can be busy during festivals and the weekend, so I normally go during the week. If you are visiting stop in!
