While visiting Mt. Airy we ate our lunch at Snappy's. The atmosphere was fun and the staff was very entergetic. The pork chop sandwich was YUMMY!

Home of the pork chop sandwich which has received national acclaim - thin fried pork chop topped with cole slaw and chili. We opted for the fried bologna on white bread. At $1.75 how could you go wrong? Simple menu with great service and old...More

A nice little diner with cheap eats! Loved all the memorabilia and it was fun to know that Andy Griffith frequented the establishment as a child. There was a considerable line outside that turned us off initially but it moved very quickly so don’t let...More

Made famous by The Andy Griffith Show, this small restaurant has good food, if you can get in. Lots of tour buses coming and going. Not a fan of the show or restaurant myself, but my husband loves it. Closes early afternoon--no dinner served.

We tried this because it was Andy's favorite place to have a pork chop sandwich. It is very busy and closes early afternoon so if you want to try the food ..get there by noon. Prices are cheap.

Not that good. Thank goodness my husband and I split one. It is big but not that good. It’s a pancake batter coated fried pork chop on a bun with chili and condiments. The place was packed and they close at 1:15 or 1:45 depending...More
