I've eaten here for many years when visiting the area. It's good food always. I've had a quick lunch of fried and a stuffed fish special and many stuff in between. The food is always excellent. I always try to sit outside on the waterfront....More

The food was not good. Wish we had chosen a different place to eat. The service was slow at best. The food tasted like it was frozen and warmed in the microwave. Very, very disappointing. Money was just wasted. Never again

We were lured here based on the tourist magazine. It has free parking. It has outside and indoor seating with waterview. They did an excellent job with social distancing tables. The food was very bland and not what you'd expect for a restaurant near ample...More

Stopped here for a lite dinner on our way up the coast. Had the fried shrimp which were good but the breading missed the mark. It didn't stay on the shrimp, just kept fell off.

Atmosphere was ok, but kind of wondered when they last did a decent cleaning. Came here thinking I would find oysters. Waiter informed us they ran out of oysters yesterday. I ended up with mussels, my husband had the big seafood platter. The hush puppies...More

The Sanitary Fish Market is easily accessible off Arendell Street, Morehead City, right on the waterfront. We had a beautiful waterfront view. Tables are available inside and outside on the marshfront patio. They allow a limited number of diners inside so be prepared to wait...More

Lunch was good. We tried a variety of items but the Fish tacos were a standout. The crab cake also was tasty. Nice place on a rainy day to watch a few boats go by.

Love the food, vibe, and history! The staff was friendly, and the location is great as well! Worth visiting!!

Not worth the money or the wait especially in season when it crowded. Not to mention you must walk through the waitress station and pass the kitchen doors to get to the tables, not an impressive entrance to the dinning room that way.

No steamer pots. Most all seafood selections are local catch and fresh. Don't pass this place up. Try the shrimp salad, I buy it by the quart to take to my mom. But keep it on ice.
