Food was prepared quickly and was reasonably priced, but the quality was average at best. Dishes identified on the menu as spicy were not spicy at all. This restaurant appears to be mostly takeout and delivery, but there are a few small tables for those who wish to eat in.

This place as absolutely ridiculous when it comes to delivering food. First of all when you call the language barrier is frustrating you have too repeat things several times so you are frustrated before you even hang up EVERY Time I order from this restaurant they forget something tonight rice, last time wontons and egg rolls. And when you call back you get to listen to the screaming children in the background while they discuss your order they come back on and say oh sorry you want it next time? NO I WANT IT NOW I want what I ordered and paid for. "Well its going to be another hour before we can get it back. SERIOUSLY? And they will bring the rice and nothing else. Not even a free we are sorry egg roll. The food is pretty good but all this frustration every single time we order is not worth it!

I was in a hotel near by ordered food and was charged the max amount to get free delivery. Food was good

This is our go to place for Chinese food. Usually get sweet and sour chicken and at other places it’s mushy. Here the chicken is soft but the breading is crunchy and not oily or greasy. Very good. The orange chicken is another favorite and it’s very well done. The deliveries are always less then 20 minutes from order to food and we’re in Mint Hill.

I was surprised when I first ordered from China Express last month. The take-out bag was heavy and the price was a little over $20 for 3 items. The Shrimp Lo Mein, Shrimp in Garlic Sauce and Mu Shoo Chicken were flavorful. The shrimp meals had plenty of shrimp too! Ordering online was convenient and the staff were friendly (though not very conversant in English). It's a small place and not fancy to eat in. However, take-out is the way to go here!

I was staying in a hotel for my birthday and decided to order from there for lunch so I wouldn't have to go out. While ordering, I had to keep repeating myself because of the language barrier. She told me the delivery would take 1 hour. It arrived 2 hours later!!! I would have been somewhat okay with that if the food had been good. It's the worse Chinese food I've ever had. Totally wasted my money. I didn't even eat 1/4 of it. Threw it in the trash.

Placed an order to be delivered as a surprise for my wife who was coming home from a business trip that night. Over an hour later the food was delivered cold and wrong. my wife's favorite Sesame Chicken was delivered as Sweet and Sour Chicken. When I called it was going to take an hour to get the correct food. No apology was offered. No discount was given for my wasted time or the wrong food being delivered....Nobody cared! All of the food went in the trash can. I will never order from China Express again!

We walked up and ordered carry-out. Didn't have to wait very long. The food was good, although we asked for the fried rice to be spicy and it wasn't noticeably spicy. But the quality and timeliness was good for the price.
The lady who took our order and checked us out was friendly and helpful, and gave us extra utensils since we were staying at a hotel.
