One of my favorite places to eat. Great value for the money. BBQ sauce is the greatest I've ever tried. Beautiful looking over river to eat if you never been it's a must.

We finally decided to try this place since it was local and other family members tried it and liked it. We weren't all that impressed. There is a big smoker barrel out front under their sign so we knew they make it on premise. We were surprised that the barbeque didn't have the smoky flavor we are accustomed to. I... More

We and our friends come here for a great atmosphere and delicious food. The atmosphere is down to earth, and this is one of the best restaurants for ribs in the area. Worth going to!

Service and food was only meh. The view was pleasant. Seating was on a porch but since it was the off season they had plexiglass covering the screened Windows. It is sort of self service and I expected more. Was ok.

Took my dad and son here this weekend for a little dinner. It wasn't crowded at all but I believe we are just starting the off season here. The ambience is fabulous. Had the creek on one side and a lady making glass figurines on the other. Had the pulled pork plate with fried corn and Brunswick stew. Everything was... More

I had an issue with the cleanliness of things a few months ago and even mentioned it in a previous review, hoping things would change...but they didn't. The ketchup bottles must have been purchased 10 years ago and refilled since. They are disgusting!! I suppose the concept of a roll of paper towels on the table goes along with BBQ,... More

Butts on the Creek is one of the main reasons we come to Maggie Valley :) We always order different things and have never been disappointed, never!! Tonight we split a plate of Brisket with squash casserole and baked apples, so yummy!!! We also had an appetizer of onion rings with their special sauce which I'm dying to know how... More

Love this classic yet unique local BBQ joint. Very homey & inviting. BBQ is good. Lots of other choices as well. Three sauces, all good. The sides make the meal. Choose from many, including spinach casserole, fried corn on the cob (pictured), squash casserole, baked beans, etc. Coke products & Cheerwine! Plenty of parking. Very convenient location. Very casual &... More

We come here every year when we are in Maggie Valley, N.C. Love the atmosphere as this restaurant overlooks a beautiful creek. Food is excellent especially the squash casserole. I do wish though they hadn't made the change to get on line when entering to place your food order.
