If you don't have to interact with the owner you are ok. The food is usually always very good. But if you complain about anything you are in trouble. The owner does not take to it very well. They have even posted signs to that...effect, I have never been to a restaurant that has signs basically saying like it or else.More
I have been eating here since Thai Chili has opened and have never had a complaint. This is my second review. The service has always been great and the food excellent. My mother has dementia and they help with her when I go in to...eat. I have several allergies and they go out of their way to cook my food the way I can eat it. They also make my husband's fried rice the way he likes it adding extra veggies that don't normally use. I have had several places to ask me to eat somewhere else because of my allergies, but the owner of Thai Chili has always tried to accommodate me. I have also talked to others that eat here and everyone agrees that it is the best place to eat.More
We had two chicken dishes and chicken satay with peanut sauce app. Sauce for satay was awful. Both entrees were salt licks! I couldnt eat mine and husband quit halfway through. When we went to pay, owner asked if everything was good. My husband said...the dishes were way to salty. THAT SNOT OF AN OWNER COMPLETELY IGNORED HIM, GAVE HIM HIS CHANGE AND WALKED AWAY. So rude. The waitress was wonderful.More
I have been at least four times in the last month. The food is really good and comes out pretty quickly. It is a little pricey if you don't choose a lunch special but not outrageous.
Delicious! This is definitely worth the short drive from I-95. The food was excellent and the service was attentive. I ordered medium spice for the heat level and it was perfect. Will definitely stop in again when driving through the area.
I have ordered take out here twice for lunch. I have tried their Tom Kha soup and Garlic Chicken. Both were good! Not the best Thai ever but for Lumberton this place is pretty darn good. Would eat here again.
We walked in and we're greeted right away. The menu gave a good explanation of the food. Our order was filled quickly and the food was nice and warm and very good. Would definitely recommend.

Given the new popularity of Thai cuisine, it is not surprising to find a Thai restaurant in small town, Lumberton, NC. What is SURPRISING is that it may very well be the best Thai restaurant in the entire region or maybe the entire state or...dare I say the entire eastern U.S. If you love Thai cuisine, make a special date and dine at this gem. This is the WORST! The food I didn’t even get to taste because this ignorant coward of a man said Im not giving you your money back when he made the dish WRONG! Menu says for Lad Nar “Thai soy sauce gravy over a bed...of wide rice noodles” I get bowl quart of soup like gravy and a small separate container of wide rice noodles. I have been to numerous numerous Thai restaurants and this dude says that’s how they make it and that I didn’t read the menu. When I brought the menu back in to show it to him, I read the menu to him and he says that’s what “over a bed of noodles means”. Excuse me but I understand “over” and “in a separate bowl”are TWO different meanings. I looked at the menu to see if I had it right. He says it’s in a bowl and when “I” pour it over the noodles then it will be on top of the wide noodles. That’s like ordering fried rice and they give me the white rice and the vegetables for me to fry it at home. Some dishes are meant to be separate like Thai curry. Some are meant to be ALREADY assembled and NOT soupy like pad Thai, drunken noodles, and LAD NAR too! This man (the owner) is one of the most ignorant people I have met in my entire life! Anyone who eats Thai knows there is a distinct difference between Thai and Chinese food. Chinese food has more liquid with it. Thai is cooked a little dryer with a sauce...NOT soup!!! Stopped here for a lunch break on our drive from D.C. to Savannah, Georgia - it was OK but not as good as other Thai places we've eaten - prices are fair, but food is average in taste and quality compared to other Thai eateries...- kind of like "fast food Thai" - a bit overcooked and generic tasting. Also, the religious channel streaming on their TV was a bit disturbing....More
The food here has no spice at all! The pad Thai noodles were over cooked and stuck together! Nothing fresh about the food at all. The price for the food is not worth for what you get. Staff was friendly just again the food is...terrible. Would not recommend to anyone who enjoys Thai food.More
We looked at reviews before selecting this restaurant; 4 of us were looking for a place to stop and eat on the way to our hotel. Despite positive reviews, we found the Drunken Noodles to be gummy and with very few vegetables, not very flavorful....My husband's tofu soup was mediocre. Wouldn't eat here again.More
We ate there last night and it was ok. I got the chicken pud Thai and the chicken was over cooked and the noodles were a little hard. I didn't have any spice in my food when I requested medium. My niece's food was much...better than mine and was made fresh and came out 10 minutes after everyone else's. The spring rolls were great though and made fresh! Not sure if I would go back...More
We will never eat there again.. Service was not good. Usually we have excellent luck with Thai food.
