I have been eating here every October for 5 or 6 years the place has changed some but the food is grate. BBQ is good love the black eyed pea salad and fried okra . They make their own pickles also. Save room for the good blackberry cobbler and ice cream that is homemade.

First, the store was really cool. I did lie the old general store with goodies, jams, soaps, etc. The restaurant however, ehh, not so much. There was a full service bar in the back kind of hidden which was nice. So we walked to the back where the restaurant was and the girl that was taking orders was sitting on... More

Love this place! The Hampton Store is so much more than a store. Great BBQ on homemade rolls, fried okra, blackberry cobbler - all fresh and homemade. They also have wonderful music and craft beer. Next store is a craft store specializing in folk art and pottery. If you find yourself in the mountains on a rainy day, pay this... More

Stopped here for lunch. Unique and different kind of lunch experience. You get in line and order from the menu board. Prices are very reasonable and there are many choices. The store is a fun place to explore with many unique items for sale. It's like a step back in time.

We had the turkey and pulled pork sandwich plates. The collards and mac and cheese were very good with large portions. They have a small bar and had $5 bloody Mary's and $12 bottomless mimosas on the day we were there. Live music and nice outdoor seating. Great place all around!

We enjoyed our mountain day a few weeks ago. Was hungry for lunch so decided to try something new. Food not good at all. Mac and cheese cold. Baked beans out of a can and just warmed up. Not worth 10$. That's for sure!!!

I'd stopped here a few times over the years in the touristy General Store but I don't think they had the restaurant then. I had seen there WAS a restaurant lately but never tried it. There was a write up in a local news service about a month or so ago and I'd decided to give it a try. Today... More

Really good BBQ in a down home no frills atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Some of the best pulled pork, collards, okra and mac'n cheese I've tasted.

Stopped by for a late lunch on Labor Day. We all had Pulled Pork BBQ Plates or sandwiches. Good sauce. Good Mac & Cheese. The Fried Pickles were AWESOME. Slivered pickles, sliced lengthwise and fried in batter. Not too greasy. Not too sour.

Thank Paul D
