On our recent trip to Banner Elk, our host said we were going to this little place that was not exactly a restaurant and not exactly a bar. A little fear of the unknown kicked in. When we arrived, I didn't want to get out of the car. Boy am I glad I did! It was to pleasant, quaint and... More

We've been here several times either while staying in Linville, or getting a Christmas Tree. The cocktail menu is phenomenal and they use a good number of NC liquors and beers. The BBQ, Turkey and sides also make this a good spot for lunch.

I love this little place 5 minutes from my cabin. I always take visitors here for the experience. Old country store with great BBQ. I always get collards and Mac and cheese to take out back and sit under old shade trees. Love the new bar where Morgan and Charles create some delicious specialty cocktails and serve up great craft... More

We found this place online and it had excellent reviews. We went mid afternoon so the place was quiet. We had the BBQ plate and it was very good! My husband cleaned his plate and finished up my daughter's BBQ. The portions are good but he really liked it! We will definitely go back next time we are in the... More

Have eaten here several times es during game the last few years and they are consistently great. We ate outside on the porch on a beautiful fall day but could still enjoy the live music from inside. Barbecue was awesome as well as fried pickles, slaw and blackberry cobbler.

Came here on a referral from a friend. It's probably one of the coolest places to eat and be entertained. The food is totally awesome. I had a BBQ sandwich and it was really good and the order of fries were more than I could eat. My wife had the toddlers plate with BBQ and pea salad. I can said... More

I have been eating here every October for 5 or 6 years the place has changed some but the food is grate. BBQ is good love the black eyed pea salad and fried okra . They make their own pickles also. Save room for the good blackberry cobbler and ice cream that is homemade.

First, the store was really cool. I did lie the old general store with goodies, jams, soaps, etc. The restaurant however, ehh, not so much. There was a full service bar in the back kind of hidden which was nice. So we walked to the back where the restaurant was and the girl that was taking orders was sitting on... More

Love this place! The Hampton Store is so much more than a store. Great BBQ on homemade rolls, fried okra, blackberry cobbler - all fresh and homemade. They also have wonderful music and craft beer. Next store is a craft store specializing in folk art and pottery. If you find yourself in the mountains on a rainy day, pay this... More
