when it was open, they had good food. Especially like the half a sandwich and soup, but, hey, I like soup, but only if it's good and their's was. Excellent deserts, pimento cheese and cakes to order

Service was good, and overall the food was ok - but I wish they used fresh chicken breasts in their sandwiches. It tasted like pre-cooked then frozen mass quantity bagged chicken, where they are so processed that even the texture isn't right. Other than that...More

Reasonable prices. The sandwiches and salads are very fresh. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back. I highly recommend eating here for lunch.

We enjoy going to Our Picnic Basket for a simple sandwich and fruit in a quiet environment. Great desserts too!

Sandwiches are just OK and service is spotty .Their are better options for great sandwiches M-F in Kinston. But on weekends this may be your best bet.

The food was good old home town cooking, I love it. The place is quaint and nice. It really has that home town feel. They have daily specials, take out and catering.
