Me and my family stopped in here for dinner while visiting the Outer Banks. We remembered this place from a previous trip and wanted to eat here again. It was even better than we remembered! This place has a very fun atmosphere and is the country’s first wind-powered brewery! We started our meal off with Edamame, which is probably the best we have ever had anywhere, and a giant pretzel with cheese dip and two types of mustard. Both quickly disappeared! As for our main course, my brother ordered the Tuna Brewdha Bowl which he said was fantastic and very filling; my Mother had the Backyard Pizza which she loved; my Father had the Local’s Pasta which had an unusual combination of vegetables but he said it was probably his most favorite pasta dish ever; and I had a large plate of the Pan Seared Scallops, which were delicious but I feel a tad overpriced for what you got (about 5 scallops on a small pile of risotto). We splurged for dessert and had a Honey Pecan Tart, Chocolate Lava Cake, a piece of Carrot Cake, and the special which was Rum Balls. We all shared the desserts and agreed that they were all wonderful in their own right! Our waiter was phenomenal and really made our whole experience superb. We will definitely return on future trips to the Outer Banks!

We were looking forward to sampling the beer and food at the brewing station, however the slow service spoiled the experience. Upon arrival we were told there would be no outside waitstaff but we could order our food at the outside bar. After two trips to the bar for drinks (no complaints here) our bowls of soup arrived 1 hour after ordering. To make things worse, it was the wrong order. No point complaining, we didn’t want to wait another hour. I really hope this was a rare experience. We were not alone in slow service that evening. Just wish someone would have apologized.

Outer Banks Brewing Station like all the other OBX restaurant bars has been opened for about 11 days. We stopped in for a few craft beers and were glad to see the staff working hard serving hot delicious food and tasty North Carolina craft beer. The outside patio is huge and shady so stop in for a beer and enjoy a great spot. Cheers.

My husband and I used to love this place! We just went, our first time with myself being pregnant, and had an awful experience! First of all, we asked for outdoor seating, the hostess didn’t even check to see if they had tables available, but said they were full. We sat at a booth and proceeded to watch multiple parties go outside to be seated. Afterward, we saw all of the tables nearly empty, and were extremely disappointed by her laziness. But that’s not the worst of it, as we are waiting for our food to be cooked we watched the chef, without a mask, shouting directly over the plates of prepared food, spitting all over them! All of this aside, we let it go since we know the food is great, but then it got brought to our table... I had a frozen veggie burger that was absolutely awful, and my husband had a super dry and gross looking sandwich. We are so bummed out to lose this place, but we highly suggest finding another place to eat! The waitress was really nice, and did a good job, we hope she gets out of there before the place goes out of business!!!

When you give a 5 star rating you are prompted with a question like "Is this one of the best meals you've ever had?" Well, I can say this meal was ONE OF THE WORST I've ever had. It started with their "famous" hard cider. It wasn't cold, and it tasted like a combination of fruit, honey and beer. Sickeningly sweet.
The peel and eat shrimp seemed like a good choice along with some hushpuppies. The shrimp were bland with a small sprinkling of Old Bay on the bottom of the plate, not on the shrimp. There was no seasoning on the shrimp. My daughter suggested the taste was more like pond raised in WV than something you'd get near the ocean. They were served with a small container of cocktail sauce that tasted like it had been cut with ketchup.
On to the mahi mahi sandwich which had looked so promising on the menu! It was overcooked so it was dry and there were no seasonings on it. The sweet potato fries were super sweet with no seasoning. The bean burger was okay but nothing exciting.
This whole meal was horrible and I can seriously make better seafood at home. With how lousy the cider was, we see no reason to ever go here again. Many other good restaurants to choose from.

I’ve been coming here for 10 years, and the food has always been good…..until this year. We sat in the lovely outdoor area and never had to wait very long to order at the outdoor bar. We got calamari and a pretzel to start. The pretzel was just ok, but the calamari was soggy and oily and inedible. My husband’s steak and cheese was dry and cold, and fries were over cooked. My key lime cheesecake came out looking half melted, and was mushy and warm. And I don’t understand why servers don’t bring napkins and silverware out with your food when you sit outside, but rather you have to wait in line at the bar to request it. Overall, it was really disappointing to pay $80 for a dinner that we didn’t eat. I won’t come here again.

Food and drinks are below avg .. things are tasteless .. fried with too much residual oil.. beer is stale.. they say they brew it themselves but what was served was probably many many days old stuff.. That lemongrass beer seems to have a sugar syrup mixed in it. Service was OK once we sat down but most ppl there seem dissatisfied and feel like they don’t work in a good environment. When we entered and waited waited for someone to seat us.. at least 10 servers etc passed by but no one bothered to ask or even acknowledge. It’s and avg place and you don’t want to spend your vacation time eating out at an avg place.

We met some family here and spent a fun evening with good food.
The staff is friendly and responsive. We enjoyed one server in particular who engaged our group in some fun banter.
The food was very good. Most in our group got the fish and chips. The fish was fried well and had great flavor.
I had the Cuban sandwich. It was excellent!
My wife had the crab bisque and it was also very good.
We enjoyed the Pub Crab Dip as well.
We all tried different drinks and no one was disappointed whether it was one of the local beers or a mixed drink.
I can definitely recommend the Nags Head Mule.
There was live music with different artists featured each night in a nice outdoor space.
I am sure we will be back again.

We always love coming to the Outer banks Brewing company on our yearly trips to the Outer banks. Great atmosphere both inside and out and good food. Loved the fact that we could relax and enjoy a drink while the kids could play after what was always a delicious meal. Have to admit that we were extremely disappointed tonight. Menu has changed and our seafood and steak favorites were gone. Tonight’s service was just ok. Much to our further disappointment, the burgers we got were dry, fries were over cooked and very overpriced for what we got. We were hungry and had driven 40 minutes to get here so didn’t complain but I’m not sure we will be back next year.

This brewery is not good. The food was awful and the staff was less friendly. We got the special fish sandwich and my son got the spaghetti. The fish sandwich was bland and something I couldn’t even eat. The slaw was also awful. The spaghetti had so much water my son had a hard time eating it. The waitress never even offered to take the sandwich off our bill. I went to Wendy’s to eat after I left.

Arguably one of the best locations to dine at with young children (as long as you don't mind if the kids don't sit still long enough to eat). There is a large outdoor seating area with large umbrellas and an outside bar. A pirate ship shaped playground and the corn hole area will keep the kids busy while adults can sit back and enjoy a relaxing meal. The food was just okay. The kids burger was overpriced , $12, and had an usual flavor that neither of my children liked. To be honest, my husband and I also tried it and would not have wanted to eat it either. The pretzel was what you would expect, nothing particularly fantastic but points for unique presentation. Fried shrimp were large and well cooked, breading was a bit bland.
The fries were very yummy, crispy and the best of the food we received. Large beer menu as expected so something for everyone that likes beer. I'd certainly go back again, but I'd choose something different for the kiddos.

Reasonable Prices! But the beer, though good tasting, is always flat. The last time I went my cold beer was served with a white substance in the bottom of the glass - gross. After some time I was able to get a replacement from the polite waitress. Unfortunately, the replacement beer had a HUGE purple lipstick print on the glass. Check Please! But the prices are reasonable and the food is OK. Stay away from the wings though - barely cooked and very greasy.

Stopped for lunch on the way to check into our hotel. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and asked where we’d like to sit. We chose the bar. Service was slow as the bartender was also covering tables. We came here for the tuna on the menu but they did not have tuna today. The menu had typical burger and fried food which we did not want. The beer was good and we had nacho chips with pica de gallo.

Two of our fish dinners were very dry and overcooked, fries are your basic frozen variety, and overall the food is bland and not worth the price. The staff was super friendly though and our server was wonderful. Doubt we’ll go back next year. There are just too many other, better places.

We went in early Oct and weather was nice so we elected to eat outside. At the time table service was inside only and outside you would go up to the bar and order drinks and food. The drinks you get and when food is ready they would bring it out from the kitchen. The bar server and wait staff were. As far as the food I would say it was okay I was expecting maybe a little better based on the reviews. The beer was fine but it American style brews which to me are a little hoppy. It was good. Not sure I would try again.
