After a few years of visiting the Outer Banks, my wife and I finally tried the Colington Café on our most recent trip. It was excellent in all respects -- so much so that we twice made the drive from Rodanthe to Kill Devil Hills during the week we were at the beach. The restaurant is a big old house,... More

At the recommendation of a resident neighbor, we had dinner at Colington during the Outer Banks Bluegrass Festival and were very impressed. The restaurant has wonderful ambiance, fast service and a decadent dessert tray. We have been vacationing in Nag's Head for most of our lives and are so glad to be able to incorporate Colington into our dining out... More

Lovely dinner, friendly staff. We really enjoyed ourselves. This place is a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip.

A charming cottage-type restaurant. Great ambience. The food was fabulous. My husband and I both had the grilled shrimp and scallop Tropicale-a pineapple mango salsa. The chocolate cake with raspberry mousse and chocolate ganache was to "die for" Highly recommend this restaurant

I ate there tonight with my two daughters and my mom. We got the brie platter which was excellent. Unfortunately, when it came time for dinner, mine was the only really good meal (I got the mixed grill of Tuna and Filet Medallions). The girls did not even eat their french fries. They tasted like pre-frozen oven fries and my... More

The reviews of Colington were good, so we went in expecting a great meal. The meal we had was excellent, surpassing even our expectations. The crab dip we had for an appetizer was delicious. My husband's scallops and my steak were cooked perfectly. And, the coconut cream pie for dessert topped everything off perfectly. The service was great and very... More

This was my second time visiting Colington Café but my husband's first experience. He was so impressed he can't stop talking about it. Arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and felt scolded by the hostess for being early. She directed us to the gift shop or gazebo to wait until our reservation time. We engaged the woman in... More
