I went there with my sissy and friend for a good steak. I was very disappointed for the second time. My steak was a cowboy 26 oz. bone in ribeye. Supposed to be aged 40 days according to the menu. More like the poor cow...was dead for 40 days before butchered. It was tough with a tremendous loads of fat on it. Not worth sixty bucks for sure. Mine was supposed to be medium but it was rare. My sissy and friend’s were medium but supposed to be rare. The seafood soup was good but not really served hot. Creamed spinach was cold and not good either. The service was not that special either. Never asked if the steaks were cooked to our satisfaction. The first time there the server was down right rude talking down to us. Wish I had reported her. Never again I will go unless ordered a free meal replacement like I had and guaranteed good. That’s not going to happen. Even the lady next to me filet minion looked tough when she cut it. There was a big party noise as heck and we couldn’t even hear each other sitting next to each other. They ruined dining for everyone else in there eating if people wanted to converse. I ate and got the hell out like Bob’s diner down there. Good grief for the prices charged and the food they serve and their service this tourist will never go back. I will stick to Texas Roadhouse and Longhorns. Maybe J K’s stand for Jeep killed.More

We ate here recently on our anniversary and were expecting an excellent meal based on reviews. For what we spent, we were disappointed. We started with drinks at the bar and ordered house bourbon in our Manhattans rather than a more expensive bourbon. Drinks were...not that good and they were $11 each. The bar area was very crowded and loud. My husband's ribeye was thin and full of gristle - not at all what he was expecting from a nice steak restaurant. My filet was good and cooked as ordered. I didn't care for the mashed potatoes, as they were half mashed and half chunks of potatoes and didn't have much taste. Service was fine. We had dinner a few nights earlier at Mulligan's and enjoyed it much more and spent less money. We probably won't be back.More

During our annual trip to the outer banks I reward myself by dining at JK's steakhouse. Over the past 3 years that I have treated my self to a fine meal, this was the first year I was 100% disappointed. The service was non-attentive, she...only stopped by when she happen to pass by our table. The steak that has been great in past years was always charred very nice and juicy throughout which is hard to do on a well done NY strip. This year it was dry, tough and chewy. I know its hard for a chef to cook a well done steak well, but this year it was like the maintenance guy cooked it. I will, no doubt give it one more shot next year, but for a fine dining meal, this was totally disappointing.More

I had the rockfish with a crab sauce and rice. It was good. Also the bread they have is really good, nice and soft in the middle. The desserts were really good. I had the creme brulee. They make it how it's supposed to taste....It was excellent. Also had the blueberry cobbler with ice cream. Once again, excellent. I would definitely return here.More

After a long day of sight-seeing (wild horse tour, lighthouse, etc.) we wanted a substantial meal and to feel pampered- This was the place! We were taken to a small back room with only 3 tables and the service was great. My husband really enjoyed...his steak and my salmon was very good. Nice place. Very happy.More

Service was great. I had the ribs and my wife had a shrimp and scallops pasta. The salad was excellent. The baby back ribs were generally mediocre. The rub was a bit too thick in spots. The pasta was the same. I’m sure there are...plenty of other places to try, don’t feel bad if you missed this pkaceMore

Had a good feeling about this restaurant and was not disappointed in fact it far exceeded our expectations. From New York area so we are use to going to really good restaurants Best restaurant we have encountered in North Carolina ( living here for past...8 years) From the minute we were seated till our departure we received excellent service from Fran, our wait server. Started with a Gibson ( yes they know how to make a good Gibson) followed by the best ribs we have had in North Carolina. Seafood bisque soup was over the top ( purchased two bowls to take home) Entrees were ny strip steak, tender cooked to my taste and great flavor and also a seafood served over pasta filled with tons on shrimp, scallops and swordfish Delish. Too full to enjoy dessert but what we saw other guests having looked so good. If you ever visit the Outer Banks and like good food and service this is a must dining stop. Finally Fran was not only very attentive to ever detail of our dining but also was so wonderfully helpful with local information that she shared with us!More

Pleasantly surprised with this wonderful restaurant. The good was exceptionally good! We had Seafood Bisque, Tobacco Fried Shrimp, and the Blackened Mahi Shrimp and Grits were all great. Our waiter, Mark, was very knowledgeable about the food, friendly and delivered great service!! I would definitely...recommend it to anyone and will return on my next trip!!More

We waited with breathless anticipation as JK's would open on Thursday. I had the Prime Filet. Prepared to perfection. My wife had the regular Filet. Again, prepared her delightful
