First time visit to Kernersville, and this place stood out from list of restaurants. Parking lot crowded on a Monday night which is always a good sign. Bar served Stella draft which always makes me happy. Ambiance and decor were excellent. Server, Hannah I think,...was extremely friendly and helpful for four of us who never ate there before. I was hesitant to order main course at same time as appetizer, but Hannah promised that our main order would not go in until we finished our appetizer. She was true to her word. All four of us were very happy with our food. Prime Rib was cooked to order (medium rare). Salads were excellent, as well as their Union Soup. Will always return here if I'm ever in this area again.More

Fabulous everytime! Prices have gone up some but the quality of food remains the same. The bleu cheese chips are addicting! Not on the menu but typically available.

I've visited every Friday, and ordered the same dish. The owner actually greets me when I arrive, and about 75% of the servers know me. Several weeks ago I ordered and it arrived over cooked. I advised the server it wasn't cooked as requested. He...took the plate, came back shortly after to tell me the "chef" said it was cooked how it needed to be. Well, if I'm paying for it, cook it the way I requested - rare. I told them to just keep it - I didn't want it. Within ten minutes the front end manager brought me a new plate and told me she repeatedly told them the first time to take it off the "grill". This time it was right. Since, the same manager has ensued it was right. Then tonight... What a nightmare! I ordered. Service was lack luster. My plate arrived and you could tell one side of the meat had been cut - all other sides reflected a completely different color. I told the server it had been cut, you could tell by coloring, I refused the plate and said I'd be going to a different restaurant going forward. Exact words: I can tell this side was cut, and I'm not accepting this sh*t. From now on I'll go to Chop House where they know how to cook some da*n tuna. Well I guess their "chef" got mad, came to my table, sweating profusely, eyes bulging, pointed his finger in my face, mumbling how he didn't want to serve me, I curse, and I complain about his food. (Mind you, I've returned two plates in 11 years) Well, did you not get the memo?! I already said I wouldn't be back. He made a pure spectacle of himself, putting his finger in a woman's face, acting insane cause he refuses to prepare food how it's ordered. Then, THEN he says he owns the place and no longer wanted me there. Well, Mike Orlick, you are a manager - NOT the owner! The owner is Bobby Leloudis and his lovely wife 'Gogo'. Just like your cooking skills, your words aren't worth much. It must be difficult for you to have a foodie as a customer... who is also a CHEF! Just despicable. And I don't mind taking my business (MONEY) to Chop House, or any of the MANY other restaurants in the area. At least they prepare food as ordered and treat their customers well.More

Excellent service. Excellent food. Been here twice in 3 weeks for dinner and both times each person at our table was extremely pleased. How many restaurants can you say that about? Outwest is why I really prefer family owned restaurants. 15 minutes from either Greensboro...or Winston or High Point. Good atmosphere. Wonderful patio. Great food. There is so much echoing noise and conversation in this place; I had a headache for hours afterward. The Prime Rib was salty, dry, and tough and smelled rotten. They must be buying cheap meat and soaking it in tenderizer at improper temperatures. Mushrooms were...canned and boiled in a brown dye making them dark and tasteless. The salad was wilted. The dressing too sweet. My friend sent her Prime Rib back and got a steak. The steak was also bad; she ate it anyway she was so hungry but then got food poisoning. After only a couple of bites of my Prime Rib, I brought it home for the dog. The dog refused to eat it. Don't go to Out West !!!More

We thoroughly enjoyed the bone in ribeye and the prime rib! They were melt in your mouth tender. The Brussel sprouts were a bit greasy for me. Our waitress was terrific. we will be back!

Visited many times in the past with good results! We haven’t been since they remodeled the restaurant and since the Covid shut down. By the way, remodel was great! Was so excited to have our anniversary dinner tonight!! My husband ordered the prime rib& it...was spot on & delicious. I ordered the nightly special of salmon& filet! It was amazing! I have a big service complaint! Our waitress came by after we were seated for 15+ min to ask if we wanted a drink. She had a tray of dirty dishes w her. We said yes for a wine & cocktail. Brought by another wait staff quickly oh good. Next time she came by with a tray of dirty dishes, she said did we want to order. Yes, ok she went to take tray away & came back for order. Long story short, every time she came to ask us if we needed anything was with a tray of someone’s dirty tray of dishes!! Really! We are dealing with Covid 19 & we wore masks into your establishment & are asked to social distance 6 ft! She stands over our table each time she walks by to speak to us about food while holding others contaminated dishes. Why aren’t your wait staff wearing gloves to take away used dishes? How do I know their hands were being washed after that before bringing my food?? All in all our food was 5 star but service 2. Not what I should see anytime but especially now when we are still in COVID regulationsMore

Stopped in for dinner with a buddy after driving 12 hours from up north. We were told the wait would be about an hour so decided to wait. After a couple of drinks in the bar area we were seated at a table. 50 minutes...by the way. Kristen our server was great. She went over the specials, suggested some items, checked on us regularly and made the experience enjoyable. The food was top notch I had a steak, burgundy mushrooms and the pork belly beans. All were tremendous and my friends prime rib looked great. I have eaten in a lot of steakhouses and Outwest ranks up at the top. Worth the wait in my opinion. Too bad its a 12 hour drive! Next time through I will make a point of stopping though. Keep up the great workMore

We see why it is the number 1 place in Kernersville. The staff is very accomidating as we come with a 6 month old grandchild and they went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for him, us and they surrounding tables....Super friendly staff that care about their jobs. They have a great menu but the Prime Rib was mouth watering and cooked perfect. The side of the stuffed tomatoes also are over the top. We have had nothing bad here. Try it !More

Tried 2 times and will not try again. It takes a lot to make me post a bad review, but I feel it necessary. Stopped in on a Saturday night roughly 6:30 and was told 1hour and 20 mins wait time... okay I'll try and...stick it out. 35 mins passed and not one person walked out paying but several people waiting had. When we neared an hour and only one couple waiting out of the many we decided to call it a night and go to J Peppers (fantastic food btw). Just stopped in on a Monday night (24th of February) there was no one waiting yet still a 15 min wait.... okay sure. 20 mins later ended up in the bar under first come first serve. Sat down and hostess brought over menus and silverware and a server/bartender walking by said "Hi guys", sadly this would be the last time we spoke to anyone. Sat for 20 mins and never even asked for our drinks and the server walked by us several times. I hope the food quality is better than it was before the remodel (it was pretty good, just not up to the price they charged) so eat or try at your own risk. I can tell you 2 great restaurants I found thanks to OutWest , JPeppers and Frida's!More
