A year ago (2021) we were given a gift certificate for this restaurant. We used it and were very pleased with everything. This year (August 2022) we had a visitor from NJ and decided to take her to dinner there. None of our meals were...good. My husbands Salman was dry, my dinner which included risotto was not smooth and creamy but instead stiff and dry and our visitor who had a pasta dish with grouper. The grouper was dry and the entire dish was swimming in butter. We also noted their health rating had dropped to 84%. We definitely did not get a meal worth the prices paid and I would no longer recommend this restaurant. I notified my nephew not to give us that gift certificate for Christmas this year and recommended something else.More

We are in the process of moving to the area and are looking for a nice restaurant where we can enjoy lunch and/or dinner and The Prescott fits the bill. We had already enjoyed a nice lunch a couple of weeks ago and were keen...to try dinner. There were three of us and we shared two appetizers both of which were well received. I particularly enjoyed the mushrooms that were on the bruschetta. We tried three different entrees and once again each of us was pleased with our selection. The service was very attentive and we never at any time felt that we were being rushed or that things were taking too long. All in all a very pleasant and leisurely meal with what I thought were very reasonable prices. One minor comment. I enjoyed the type of music being played but felt it was just a little too loud for the overall atmosphere.More

We went basic on the booze but it looks like they have everything you need. There was one exception with the meal preparation which was taken care of quickly and appropriately. One of the steaks was not cooked a directed so that meal was replaced...in a timely manner. The pulled lamb BBQ sandwich was particularly good.More

We had a reservation for 6:45 and were seated promptly. However we did not receive our meal until after 8:00. Two tables that were seated after we received our appetizers received their meals before we did. We have had good experiences here previously, but this...one was very disappointing. It was obvious we had waited on our meal for a very long time and the staff did not seem to be concerned in the least.More

Our political campaign Meet & Greet in the reserved Special Events Room turned out fabulously! We had in the 50-60 person range drop by, which was about what we expected. Chef Trey Prescott was ready, at our request, for up to 100. The food was...delicious, the room was ready, and the waitstaff were absolutely fantastic! So accommodating, paid extraordinary attention to our guests (and us!). Great attitude, friendly to all…perfect! We could not have asked for better treatment (even brought me a ginger ale while I was laying out cards, stacking up campaign signs, etc. right before 5:30). A great venue for such an event! Our project coordinator for the campaign, Denise Williams, worked flawlessly with The Prescott’s staff to arrange a clearly extraordinary event!More

We decided to give The Prescott a try, as it's in the location of a restaurant we patronized many times before it closed. The menu is limited here, and several menu items that we wanted to try were not available. Service was slow and our...drinks took 15 minutes to come out from the bar. The food was just o.k. The dessert we shared (creme brulee cheesecake) was frozen in the middle.More

Had dinner here for the second time. The food was excellent. The service was a bit slow but it was Saturday night. The interior feels upscale which is very nice. Started with the fried cauliflower Caesar which was very tasty. We had the seafood risotto...and the blackened salmon for entrees. Both delicious. We look forward to coming back.More

Had a reservation at 12:30 p..m. for our lunch. Never got our food until around 2 p.m. Server was nice but slow. Food was okay but cold when served and some orders were incorrect. First time eating here and was very disappointed. We didn't dare...send anything back since we had waited so long. I understand having other parties there, however, you need more help. It's probably hard to get help at this particular time. Not impressed at all.More

A good friend had a gig here and asked me to be "crew" for him. After he was set up and had started his set, I grabbed a beer and ordered food. I got the Bistro Burger:(Angus Beef- Aged Cheddar- Bacon Jam Grilled Onions- Mixed...Greens- Garlic Aioli) cooked Medium. It came out just a little pink inside, which was perfect. The beer was a local (Kernersville Brewing Company) beer on tap. One comment about the burger: I like my burgers to be savory and the bacon jam grilled onions were sweeter than I like. Don't get me wrong, the burger was good, just not the way I would have preferred it. The Prescott has both inside dining and outside dining in an alleyway, which was where my friend was set up. The owner came by several time to be sure that we were doing ok. All the staff I interacted with were friendly. One waitress, CC, was very helpful in getting us power for the PA system and was generally just a really nice person! While I don't know it for sure, I'd say that reservations would be a good idea.More

Dinner for two couples. First time experiencing The Prescott. We were seated quickly. Interior is classy with lots of interesting historical pictures and antiques. Our server, Olivia, was delightful, paid great attention to us and had an excellent knowledge of the menu and drink specials....Pamlico Shrimp and Lobster Bisque were outstanding. Two Salmon dishes, filet, and a chicken dish were all excellent. Chocolate Mousse cake was melt in your mouth goodness! Wonderful evening. We will be back.More

Wife and I and our best friends decided to try Prescott for a Tuesday night anniversary dinner. (36 yrs!) Restaurant is very classy without being pretentious. We were seated quickly and were waited on by our delightful server, Olivia. She quickly took our drink orders...and explained some of our appetizer questions. Two of our party had Berry Mojitos. Two others had Pomegranate Margaritas. They were delicious! For appetizers we shared Lobster Bisque, Pamlico Shrimp, Bruschetta, and French Onion soup. The Lobster Bisque was exceptional! Our entrees were Blackened Salmon with Cajun cream sauce, Lemon Caper Salmon, Roasted Chicken pasta, and a Chopped Salad with a Filet. Meals were excellent, proteins cooked perfectly, and portions were generous. The Cajun cream sauce was a favorite, a perfect balance of spice and coolness! For desert we took our server Olivia's advice and ordered two Chocolate Mousse cakes. The chocolate and vanilla mousse was outstanding! A wonderful anniversary evening, despite being quite busy for a Tuesday. We will definitely be back. Thank you!More

We visited The Prescott last evening for dinner. It all began quite well. Canyon, our server was pleasant and professional. He took our drink order and we ordered the Shrimp appetizer. Both came fairly quickly and the shrimp appetizer was delicious. Canyon took our dinner...order, they were out of two of the Entrees, including the Grouper, which I had really wanted. On Canyon's recommendation I ordered the Seafood Risotto and my husband the Scallop dish from the Starters with a side of Asparagus. An hour later, we were still waiting for our food. Canyon came by a few times and said he was checking for it, but it wasn't up yet. My husband mentioned how this was getting ridiculous and a manager came out and offered two free glasses of wine and free desserts, so they did make an effort. Eventually the food did come. The Seafood Risotto consisted of 2 medium shrimp, 2 small scallops and a thin sliver of salmon about 1 inch wide by 2 1/2 inches that was crispy in consistency. All on top of a huge glop of pretty tasteless risotto. My husband said his scallops were ok, but a little over cooked and that the risotto needed salt. They also charged $7.00 for his 3 spears of asparagus that were very woody and stringy. We thought that was excessive. The restaurant was not real busy and there appeared to be plenty of staff around. After all of the great reviews, this was a very disappointing experience. This experience will have to fade far into our memories, before we will try them again.More

This was the first time at The Prescott since it was the former Bistro B and was pleasantly surprised. My wife had the open faced pot roast and I had the grouper and we would recommend both dishes. We plan to return often.

We went for lunch and it was so nice to not have fast food! I had the Grilled Honey Suckle chicken with mash potatoes and a Caesar salad. The glaze was almost like an au jus but it was thicker and good! The mash potatoes...were home made, not lumpy. My husband had the Prescott club with fries. The ham wasn't cheap looking and the chicken was pulled not a slice of deli meat. This was not an ordinary club but it was so much better! My friend had the burger and fries. The burger was cooked perfectly! Everything came out hot and sooo very good!! The service was great and quick even for lunch. I would highly recommend this to everyone!More
