When we travel through the Jonesville , Elkin area of North Carolina we look forward to having Dinner at Generations Restaurant. Always greeted by the staff with a warm welcome. The Dinner meals are delicious with a large variety of choices. My favorite is the...rib eye steak with a hot baked potato. The restaurant is very clean and the prices are excellent.More

Always greated with a smile when I come here to eat. I got the steak, shrimp, and chicken fajitas (like I usually do) and it was delicious. Generous portion with the perfect amount of seasoning. My servers were attentive and friendly.

Nice find after a long day of travel. Recommended by the check in girl at the Quality Inn. Great service and chicken pot pie like Mamma used to make. Give it a try!

We stop through on I-77 with a hotel stay near by. Generations is not fancy, but their food is exceptional at exceptional prices and service. Today we ate their scallops special and barbecue ribs. Both were delicious. You won’t be disappointed with their food and...friendly servers.More

While visiting wineries in the area we found this restaurant near our hotel. The place doesn’t look like much but the food and service were excellent!!! We had shrimp and fried pickles for appetizers and the chicken pasta and chicken wings for dinner with salads....It was all delicious!! Our waitress was a delight and didn’t miss a beat! Loved this gem of a place. When we visit the wineries again, we will definitely eat here again!More

My husband and I were meeting my parents on their trip to Florida, who, having been in the restaurant business for over 20 years, would not have enjoyed a meal at any bland roadside diner after a day long trip. I ran across the reviews...of Generations on Trip Advisor that morning, and thought that this might be a good spot for us to meet up. We drove down on Halloween and was surprised that the outside was small and unassuming, but boy was the food a different story! I ordered the Chicken pot pie which was rich and flavorful with a wonderful puff pastry to finish off the home cooked meal as good as Grandma's (maybe better). My husband had the rib-eye steak. A died in the wool A1 man, he said the steak rub on it was so good he didn't even ask for the steak sauce! My mom had the salmon which had a light glaze that enhanced the beautiful cut. My dad had the sirloin and commented that the food was really above par and everyone raved about the hush puppies. We would have had one of the wonderful deserts listed on their blackboard, but everyone was too full from the generous portions! Please stop if you are in a 1/2 hour radius I-77 and 421 for lunch or dinner. It hands down beats anything in the surrounding area. And, for dinner for 4 people with food and drink our bill ran $67.00 + tip, so quite a good deal. With wonderful hotels in the area and quaint shops and atmosphere in the surrounding towns, making this your pit stop for the day or evening would make a memorable entry in your travel journal!More

We were visiting the Yadkin Valley for the great wineries there, and asked for a recommendation for a restaurant with good food. When we drove up to Generations, we could not believe the amount of cars pulling into the parking lot! This small, unassuming place...was fun, lively and had wonderful and varied choices on their menu. The service was amazing and fast!More
