Plaza del Sol has several restaurants in the region. This location has a really good staff, great service, and consistently good food. The menu has a good bit of variety, including quite a few steak and seafood choices.

I love this place! The staff are always super friendly & fun. I want to try new things, but every time can't resist the Carne En Su Jugo. Menu definition is "Delicious meat bathed in salsa verde with mom's recipe. Served with frijoles de la oila, Mexican salad & tortillas". This is the most savory, slightly salty (in a wonderful way) delicious bowl of warmth I've ever had. The frijoles (pintos) are soooo good with fresh cilantro & in a broth I want to swim in. I dream about this dish.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever seen in. We loved this restaurant from the moment we saw the colorful decor! The complimentary tortilla chips were served with salsa and also refried beans. I love refied beans and these were the most flavorful, and a little spicy, that I’ve ever tasted!! I’d return just for that. I had sopes appetizer as my dinner. I’m vegan (though I’m not sure if those beans were) so I had refried beans, cabbage and guacamole on them. They are served with a delicious red sauce. I could not stop eating them because they were so flavorful! My husband had Texas Fajitas. He’s picky and often says his food needs a little something. Not tonight! They were perfect and he remarked how much meat there was as many times fajitas are mostly vegetables! We are beyond what was comfortable but it was just that good. Our server was helpful and friendly. We spoke with the owner to compliment his wonderful restaurant. He was very friendly as well. We will definitely be back during our two-month stay in Jefferson! I don’t even want to try anywhere else! I am their biggest fan!!

This was our second visit to Plaza Del Sol. This visit was one that happened because we wanted a sit-down experience (with all of the restrictions in place because of COVID, finding a place where we could eat was DIFFICULT). We were surprised that the menu was the FULL menu with the current restrictions in place (knowing that large chains have restricted their menus). We waited a very long time for our food and many of the orders were incorrect when we received them, but we were so thankful to find an open, sit-down restaurant that we were OK with it all. The quality of the food was above average. The service was below average.

First we stood at the door 10 minutes with open tables. The little girl that seated us looked very confused when she saw us at the door. When she did seat us she didn’t give us Utensils. I ordered a large cheese dip, mild salsa and a little Guacamole that never came. It took 15 more minutes for them to actually take our drink order. The store was so hot inside the ice melted and our drinks were warm.
Now don’t get me wrong I love the owners I’ve eaten many years at dos amigos in Boone. And Plaza da sole in Wilkes Often. I just think it might of been an off day for the staff.

You know, for the price you get a TON of food. Came here with 7 friends, three of us had fajitas and the rest and enchiladas and quesadillas. We all had drinks and the bill was under $100!!! The main thing that was lacking was the flavor, The food was cooked well but it could use a lot more flavor.

Behind an unassuming façade is a brightly decorated, very clean, restaurant, if perhaps in the plastic universal Mexican restaurant style.
Service was prompt, warm chips and two dips were very good. The chile relleno on my lunch special was way better than average; the taco not so much. My wife's taco salad was fine.
We'll go back.

Food was excellent and the staff was very helpful and courteous.
They had excellent hot sauce and chips and we had the fajita which was very good.

First if I n area looking for a job they need help. Very short staffed. But the food was good. We are vacationing in the area and stopped by. I highly recommended this place

Stopped here for lunch on the day after Christmas. Place was not crowded. Server was quick. Food was so-so. Ordered the Tacos de la Calle
Choice of three kinds of tacos. Carne Asada was good, chorizo ok and carnitas flavorless. Came with rice and beans, no flavor in either. Asked for pico de Gallo on the side, had no real heat and they charged an extra $3. Usually it is considered a condiment and is no charge. Total bill was almost $20, for lunch. I would go across town to the Mexican place by Walmart. Same 3 taco dish is cheaper and more flavorful.

This is a solidly good restaurant, with especially good values on their lunch menu. The dining room is always clean. Service is quick and attentive. Manuel, the manager is also a great host and he runs a tight ship.

We stopped in on a busy Friday night with 2 other couples and the place was packed. (good sign) We were seated almost immediately, served the standard chips and salsa right away and it was very good. Our server was very young and a bit nervous but did a great job checking on us every few minutes, refilling drinks, chips, salsa etc. Everyone ordered something different and the food arrived hot and tasty. All those in our group agreed that we would recommend this place to all and return soon.

A large and varied menu, with better seafood and steaks than most Mexican places offer, great lunch specials, clean restaurant, very friendly and quick service. What's not to love? This is a go-to for me and friends...fajitas are a favorite, but pretty much everything is good. No tequila available, but the strawberry margarita is not bad made with wine.

Manuel, the manage of this Plaza del Sol, really cares about running a good restaurant and serving great food. This restaurant is always clean, service is always friendly and speedy. Food is fresh and tasty. They have standard Mexican fare, as well as some more "upscale" steak and seafood choices. I really love the corn-on-the-cob appetizer, which I don't remember seeing on many other menus. The fresh guacamole prepared table-side is wonderful. Lunch specials are a great deal! Try a strawberry margarita made with wine. Yummy and inexpensive.
