Great place for lunch. We had the pulled pork lunch platter served with fries, Cole slaw and corn bread plus two homemade bbq sauces. Excellent melt in your mouth cornbread. Also had the chicken salad plate which was tasty. Homemade pistachio cheesecake for dessert to top off a great meal. Very clean facility and attentive service. Next time I was to try the homemade pecan pie!

I'm a part of a large-ish family, so getting everyone fed is always a challenge.
With 17 adults and 21 children vacationing together in Corolla, Wanda and BJ took care of all of us. We had caesar salad, pulled pork & rolls, prime rib, baked ziti, green beans, cornbread, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders, and every single dish was a hit. We were celebrating our daughter's graduation from high school, and we added a sheet cake for desert, and everything went incredibly well.
The delivery was on time, the food was hot and incredibly delicious, and both Wanda and BJ were wonderful. I can't endorse them well enough for what they did. We're so glad to have made the right call and booked with them.

Our first visit here we will most definitely be back again and again! My husband and I were coming off the island and passing through on our way to Elizabeth City. We noticed BJ’s and decided to drop in for dinner. The fried pickle spears were the best we have ever had! They were battered, not breaded and the flavorful seasoning had a little kick! I ordered the Bang-Bang Wings and the creamy sauce on top was ahhhh-mazing! The wings were HUGE, I had plenty to take home for leftovers. My husband ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and he was very pleased. Our waitress, Faith was excellent! Great personality, very attentive and kept checking on us if we needed anything. Highly recommend if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed.

We were traveling to Virginia Beach from the Outer Banks and wanted some early supper. We stopped at Bj's Café for a nice dinner. They were not fully prepared to open, maybe is was the time...………. 4.00 pm, however the meals were under cooked and the prices were over priced commensurate to the value of the meals. We would go back, but would need to order a different entrée.

I reached out to Danny in a private message & he was cordial. Our reply to his less than stellar review is this~ put yourself in our shoes~ 14 weeks of mandatory shut down~ just like that you must close your dining room, no warning. Your heart's desire of entrepreneurship was owning a restaurant & serving the best southern home meals east of the Mississippi & the gov't SHUT YOU DOWN. You may not open~ indefinitely. It's March and the slow season is ending and spring is your hope to see the chairs full. Looking forward to celebrating 15 years in June~ research the likelihood of opening a restaurant & being successful. 88% will not make it~ with covid 19 this has risen higher. Back to the "overpriced......value of the meals & undercooked"... The awesome server brought new meals out~ to NO avail. Read our reviews ~ quality, quantity, value is exceptional~ Why take your precious time to post on the world wide TA anything less than 5 stars, well executed, exceptional value~ knock us while we are down, hit us again as we are struggling and praying we survive in an unheard of 'pandemic'. Ya'll come back now~ We will take care of you & "Give 'em pickles"

It came recommended by a friends local friend. Advised to go with wings the advice was spot on. We had wings amazing! Burgers average, salmon not so good. It’s a local Fave for the wings it’s clear why. We visit OBX twice a year this will be only the second place we revisit regularly the other being Duck donuts

We stopped here on our way out of the Outer Banks for lunch. We had the fresh fried flounder which was cooked perfectly. It came with good tartar sauce, fries and cole slaw. The place was filled with local folks and the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and had pretty Easter decorations. The restroom was also clean. Would stop here again in a heartbeat. Great job!

Waited 15 mins at the hostess stand, where others were also waiting for a hostess, she finally appeared, after asking someone. She came out and was rude and had a nasty attitude. She said three words,” how many, name,” no hello, or good morning, etc. I asked to sit at the bar, where others were eating their breakfast, and was told, “If anyone is workin’ there!” Not knowing if indeed anyone was working there, we sat down. Many people. Including the rude young woman walked by without even a word. After 20 minutes I finally asked the rude girl on her 6 th pass by if anyone was working here? She laughed and walked away. It was obvious she didn’t want to help us. The food is mediocre, they are always short-staffed , and it sorely needs updating.
Just skip the whole place. There are other places to eat close by.

Eggs were broken and way over cooked. Potatoes were super greasy.
Hash is right out of a can.
Worst breakfast in quite awhile.
Toast was OK.
Service was friendly.
Price is not the issue.

Very happy we found this restaurant. Very friendly service and delicious food. Best fries all week. We even purchased bottle of homemade bbq sauce to take home. Only issue (not really an issue) is breakfast ended at 11 - was looking forward to breakfast after 2+ hours to leave OBX. Maybe add limited breakfast items for brunch on weekends.

Thank you for your kind review on July 1, 2023. Prior to the pandemic BJ's offered a simple southern breakfast buffet & extended it till 1pm. It was very popular~ quick stop for those traveling. Last Friday, my husband and I had a delicious breakfast here. The white person was as nice as can be, and was so friendly and efficient. My husband had eggs over easy, grits, bacon, and a biscuit. I had a biscuit sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese. The biscuits were fabulous! Coffee was good and plentiful. Definitely a place to have breakfast on the way home from visiting the outer banks.

The waiter delivered the food and never came back to the table. Never filled up our drinks. Went to get more drinks and told us we had to wait. I think not. The eggs were cooked hard and the omelet was terrible. Will never go back.

The single best restaurant in the OBX!
It's 5+ stars out of 5!
Flounder was the best in North Carolina, BBQ also the best in North Carolina, vinegar sauce is so good I could drink it over ice.
This is the place you need to try! If you can only eat one meal in the OBX this is the one!

We go here with a group many Wednesdays for their wing night. Fried or grilled but let me tell you-the grilled are the bomb! But don't miss Burger night, weekend breakfast, homemade desserts, music and cold beer! The owners are incredibly responsive, staff friendly & attentive and the Southern Hospitality of Wanda & BJ are second to none. I have also have had them cater numerous events. Great food, great food and great prices! You can't go wrong here-just come on! Stop coming or going from the Outer Banks or if you are local like us, you don't want to miss it!

I got the oyster special w fries and coleslaw for $12. The oysters were fantastic. Mild flavored and fried perfectly. My guys said the burgers were cooked perfectly and really. Good. The fries were the hit of the table. Staff very friendly and the owner stopped by to say hi
