This restaurant is an average place to eat. Fairly pricey for Mexican food. If you order their specials at lunchtime the price is fair. If you go at night, you could probably go a fairly nice restaurant for the same money. Over rated.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Hillsborough. The food is always good and you never have to wait very long to be seated. Prices are about average compared to other similar restaurants.

Service wasn't good. Had carne asada was just ok. Don't even get a margarita I don't know what they did to it. Was just awful.

Had a chance to go back this past week. The service and attention were outstanding! The food just isn't that good. It is simply average. The refried beans were soupy, the salsa thin. The Macho Burrito - labelled as spicy - wasn't. Perhaps, part of the problem was that i had visited another Mexican restaurant in Hillsborough the night before,... More

Two reasons we ate at this restaurant. (1) We were in the area. (2) We had a coupon. Several reasons why we won't be returning. (1) All the servers, including ours, looked like zombies. They did not crack a smile and almost looked like they resented our 'intrusion.' (2) Whoever heard of serving fajitas without shredded cheese? Besides that, the... More

We had a couple of less-than-desired experiences a couple years ago, but have recently renewed our appreciation for Pueblo Viejo. The staff are friendly, attentive, and many of the dishes are quite good. We especially recommend the nachos and the ACC (rice, cheese, shrimp). Very easy to get in and out and budget-friendly.

My family and I ate here to give it a go. It's in a historic home so, the rooms are a bit small and seating can be odd. With a bit of effort, new tables, decor, etc it could be a unique dining experience. Instead it feels like a South of the Border store inside a cold home. The food... More

This place has the typical Mexican menu but I have to say that the flavor is above average. The burrito I ordered had steak and sausage toped with cream with a side of rice and beens. I would order it again. The salsa they serve as appetizer is very good with a little spicy touch but not enough to bother... More
