We chose Skyline for quietude away from downtown activity and for pet friendly. WOW! The Altitudes Restaurant Staff were attentive and made our Anniversary very memorable. Our table was in a cove with doors open to a balcony with a view. The food was fantastic. The bed is comfortable and the patio with rockers and a view is quite pleasant.... More

If you are in Highlands, this is a great hotel for those with pets or looking for more reasonable rate. We have been here mutiple times and believe it's better than the hotels downtown since it is secluded and very peaceful. The views overlooking the homes is spectacular; however, be careful, those rooms do not have A/C. All in all,... More

We had 12:30PM reservations on Father's day and the place was packed. We had to wait for a table to be cleared, but were handed Mimosas to enjoy in the lobby. Another couple came in and we exchanged eating experiences. Soon we were escorted to our table to enjoy Price Fixe menu where we enjoyed salads, grilled trout, vegetables and... More

We only ate breakfast at this restaurant but it was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Wide selection of breakfast items to choose from with daily specials as well. We had eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, pancakes and coffee. It was ALL very good. I would have had the same thing at dinner if it were available. It was that good. Staff... More

A bit pricey, however worth it, we had prime rib ( Fri/ Sat only) with roasted asparagus and whipped potatoes, the best aux jus I've ever had. Worth the trip, the motel is awesome, we had a room with private balcony, so peaceful/ tranquill

It was quiet. We were only customers. Did not have potatoes or sausage gravy which was on menu. My companion enjoyed his egg dish but it was expensive. Had a nice outside dining area. When I declined coffee, I was not asked if I wanted anything else to drink. Hot tea might have been nice.

So you won't find a more Highlands-like setting. The restaurant is in the Sky Line Lodge hotel, 4.5 miles out of town. The entrance up Flat Mountain Road is a treat - ascending to a plateau overlooking the forest below. Sit on the terrace on a good night. I stayed at the hotel and had drinks there at night, and... Pricey but good. I had an omelet for breakfast. I had appetizers for dinner. Jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese & wrapped with bacon and crab cakes. Lemon drop martini to drink. All very yummy.

Wifey and I were in Highlands for the weekend and decided to splurge. We drove a little way out of town and found this quaint little motel/restaurant out in the mtns. A little strange walking past the rooms and the pool to get to restaurant, but once inside it was great. Ambiance was cozy and quaint. Views of the grounds... More

My husband and I discovered "Altitudes Restaurant and Lodge" during our recent visit to Highlands. While we did not have reservations, we made an attempt to have dinner at a highly rated Italian Restaurant. We simply asked for a time that we might be served. After a lecture on not having room (The place was not full.) and the utter... More
