Every visit to Paoletti's is wonderful, but our Christmas Eve dinner was extra special. My husband had the succulent Osso Bucco ( not frequently on the menu) and I had the fresh and beautifully prepared red snapper. The hosts are exceedingly gracious and will do anything in their power to make you feel at home and ensure that your experience... More

The food was very good service impeccable and no waiting for a table and orders were fast. The staff was very polite and friendly. Was a little crowded for my taste but I guess it's because the food and service are as I stated impeccable. I would go again if ever in town. I am from Houston and have been... More

We had not been back to Highlands for several years, but used to come every summer. The Cannelloni at Paolettis was a favorite but I was nervous to order in case it wasn't as good as I remembered. It was amazing! If anything even better than I remembered! Great appetizers too! So glad we went back!

We come annually as leaf lookers in the area. Paoletti is always a must on our trips. It was perfect once again. Cosmos, wine, bread, salads, snapper and filet Mignon all were excellent. The service could not be improved on at all. The wine was so good, we took advantage of their retail wine offer and took another bottle home.... More

As a frequent visitor of an array of restaurants wherever we travel,  I rate Paoletti's as one of the best restaurants I have ever visited.  From the wine selection, ambiance, menu selection, wait staff and the best presentation! If you are fortunate to visit Highlands N.C, Do not miss the experience of Paoletti's. You will not be disappointed!

We were lucky as the eatery was re-opening one of the nights we were in town. Nice seating, great service and amazing food. If you are in town eat at this place.

I guess we lucked out. We stopped into Ristorante Paoletti without reservations on a Sunday evening. We were visiting the area for the weekend. We had no expectations beyond Italian cuisine. Food, service, wine--all exceeded what we have come to expect in a tourist town. I usually don't eat my whole meal and my husband gladly finishes my plate. But,... More

The dinner we had here were not good. My Lobster ravioli had no taste at all and my fiancée spaghetti and meatballs was the same - I make better hands down. Server never asked how we liked it even though it should have been obvious by the amounts left on our plates. Overrated food and service lacking!

While we make it our business to respond to negative reviews, your review makes me wonder if you may be confusing our establishment with another or that you never actually ate with us at all? You complain about the Spaghetti and Meatballs? We do not serve such a mundane dish, and never have. The ravioli that you complain about as... More

Make your reservations well in advance. Two weeks out gave us only 2 options...5:15 or 8:30. We have dined in many fine restaurants all over the world, but seldom have we seen the food, the service and the hospitality coalesce into such a fine blend of 5-star experiences. The linguini with white clam sauce and the sea scallops with mashed... More

We have eaten at this restaurant for 2+ decades. Never disappoints. Service, food, wine, and overall atmosphere is top notch. Hard to believe you can find this authentic Italian in a sleepy little NC town, but it's the real deal.
