We go to "chain" burrito places fairly frequently so it was nice to see something unique. Unfortunately, I did not like the chicken very much. It is shredded rather than in strips or cubes like one usually sees. My husband had shrimp so he enjoyed his burrito more than I did.

Our teens were getting cranky so we popped into this place for a late lunch. The staff were friendly and the food fresh and tasty. A good range of choices We had fish and chicken tacos and burritos between the 4 of us, and everyone enjoyed their food. Also had the cheese dip.

We just stopped by and found this easy and reasonable place for lunch. Total lunch including two beers for two was seventeen dollars. Food was good. No complaints

Very busy lunch place for locals and visitors alike. Basic Mostly-Mexican fare served simply but very tasty nonetheless. Counter service only. Good choice for quick eats

A busy January Saturday in Highlands and all the places to eat are packed. Lucky for us, we found Pescados. No line and the food was good. You order at the counter and tell them what ingredients you want on your order. Prepared right there in front of you. Nothing fancy and probably not authentic Mexican, but very good burritos.... Pescado's has been a "fixture" of Highlands Mexican food for many years. Our recent visit did not disappoint. From the nachos to burrito's, to the broad range of drink options, Pescado's stays true to it's model. I like that you can customize everything you order, much like a Subway sandwich shop experience. And, as Highlands eateries go, this one is... More

I mistakenly thought that this was a real Mexican restaurant; it's one of those places like Mo's or Salsaritas where you go through the line selecting the ingredients you want on your taco/burrito etc. The two women who prepared our food both seemed a little annoyed that they had to get up from a booth and take care of us.... Went for Mexican lunch and a beer. I had a steak taco and Ann a steak quesadilla. The ingredients were behind a glass pane and it was hard for them and us to hear. The steak was kept warm in a steamed metal container and way over cooked. The hot salsa good and the jalapeños fresh. They got our beer... More
