Good food and atmosphere

We were staying at the JH Adams Inn and found the Blue Water grill which was nearby. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very inviting. We don't like noisy restaurants and Blue Water grill was not at all loud. The menu has many appealing choices. The restaurant is hard to find; tucked... read more

I don't know about Blue Water Grill. It is great that such a place exist in High Point, but, it's pretty pricey for what you honestly get. I realize they're really riding a trend in the menu, presentation, and price, but, I didn't find too much value in it. I got shrimp and grits and they were average, my wife... More

Although the restaurant wasn't visible from the street, located behind the other stores and shops that are on the main street...glad we were persistent in trying to locate it. We were warmly greeted as we entered the restaurant and the hostess escorted us to a lovely table by the aquarium. The dining room was dimly lit and had an inviting... More

Atmosphere is rather dark and the dining area is small. Menu doesn't change very often but does have a special or two.

Great range of choices, generous portions, superb sauces. Crab bisque was fantastic and even for the one non-seafood lover in the crowd, the 'medium steak' was a perfect medium. My grouper was absolutely fresh. Desserts were the weakest menus items... not bad, but just not on same par as the rest of the meal. Staff was excellent and service was... More

As a local who eats out more out of town than in town I can safely say this is the best restaurant in town. We only eat here 5-6 times a year but it is always a treat! Some of the best seafood dishes in the triad and have an excellent filet as well. Cozy bar environment for an evening... More

Food was good but seasoning fell a little short. However, the gumbo was spot on and the best I've tasted outside of NOLA. The local specialty of pimento cheese is like a 1950's app of cheese (in a can) and crackers...skip this. Crab bisque was great and the atmosphere is wonderful. So a miss or two but overall very good.... More
