This was our second meal here. They have a food inspection rating of 98, which is very good. The booths are large and comfortable. They have unique and colorful decorations which include both Christmas and Cinco de Mayo decor. They have a very large menu. My husband and I both ordered the Carne Asada which included steak, rice, beans, guacamole salad, pico de gallo, and a choice of flour or corn tortillas. They serve tortilla chips and a very basic salsa which comes in a small vase like container. My husband also had the sweet tea ($1.99). The thin grilled steak was good , and we each received two pieces. It was served with grilled onions, which was a nice touch. The rice was very plain. The refried beans were topped with cheese and some of the beans were not mashed. The guacamole was served on a bed of shredded lettuce along with some pico de gallo. The guacamole was the absolute worst I have ever tasted and I am a fan of guacamole. It was heavily over salted, and slightly off in color as well as off in taste. It seemed very far from fresh. Our server was very attentive, refilling my husband's tea and refilling our chips. We thought the meals were overpriced by a dollar or two. There are so many great Mexican restaurants in the area that Crazy Mexico is only average, or a little less than average. I doubt we will return.

We have a strong years and years long time favorite Mexican restaurant in the area, but decided to give Crazy Mexico a try. This is the first we have heard of this restaurant chain, but there are two other locations in this general area (Burlington and Haw River) . As we entered, we had to wait a couple of minutes to be greeted and seated. We were given warm tortilla chips and a salsa that had a nice zing to it, but wasn't overly spicy. The menu is large - breakfast, lunch and dinner with some unique menu items. Hubby got the Guadalajara dinner with chicken tamale, two chicken flautas, a small piece of thin steak, guacamole salad over some lettuce and diced tomato, and Spanish rice. He said the best part of his meal was the steak. The guacamole had onions in it and a bit of an unusual flavor. We did not like the guacamole. I had the Ribeye Dinner. I received two thinly sliced pieces of ribeye that were cooked to order. They were tasty and the best part of my meal. The meat could have used some judicious trimming. before it was cooked I also had two eggs, over easy that were okay. The refried beans were not totally mashed up, were topped with a bit of cheese, and lacked seasoning. Both our dinners were $11.50 each. Hubby also had sweet tea. I tasted it and it was pretty good. The restaurant is colorfully decorated and appeared clean and neat. Our server was attentive and kept Hubby's tea glass full and gave us additional chips. The best deals at Crazy Mexico seem to be at breakfast, then lunch, and then dinner. I felt the dinner meals were a bit overpriced. I don't think we will return to Crazy Mexico. It was just an average dining experience, and does not compare to our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area.

We accidentally found this place (only opened within the last month), and stopped in for lunch. I had the the daily lunch special, Texas ACP and they allowed me to substitute rice for beans and eliminate the bell peppers. My spouse ordered the Pollo Fundino and our son ordered the Pollo con crema (I believe that's correct), all from the lunch menu. We were stuffed snd the food was good. Going back for their Taco Mondays $1 lunch (hamburger or chicken only). Give them a try.

It took close to ten minutes for our waitress to show up at the table. That should have been the clue. But it took 2 hours to have a meal and pay when we knew what we wanted within a couple minutes. The food was as bland as it could be. The”salsa” was the runoff after they cut up the tomatos for other dishes...seriously...no cilantro, onions, salt, etc. After asking three wait staff for a check over the course of 20 minutes, I went to the kitchen and found our waitress on her cell phone leaning on the counter. I asked for our check and she angrily held up her forefinger to tell me to wait. I went 5 minutes later to the kitchen (no wait staff to be found in dining area) and announced the situation to everybody there and that if I did not receive a check in a few minutes that I would leave. 4-5 minutes later the check was angrily handed to me. No thank you. No have a good evening. Just anger and rudeness. Did I mention that we could not hear each other over the blaring music through the speaker directly over our heads? We politely asked for less volume. Nothing was done. This was the most disgusting experience I have had ever, food and service combined.

We REALLY wanted to be bowled over by this place, as the other local Mexican places have grown a little 'blah'. The margaritas didn't have the usual tart, nasty sour mix but they ALSO had NO liquor in them. The guacamole was VERY bland, just mushed up avocados, no cilantro, no lime juice, no spark, but at least it's obvious that it's made-to-order if squashed avocado excites you. The fajitas were flavorable enough, the vegetarian choices were also rather bland, a bit of garnish would've been nice... The service was great, but there were just a few customers there. The waitress began a Face Chat with her kids, standing just behind us, and never shut it off as she rang us up. Weird. With the lack of business, there was NO other time to make a personal call ? All in all, we wouldn't return.

This is without question, the best, most authentic Mexican restaurant in the triad. This is not a cookie cutter restaurant with the same old, same old, food preparation. It’s true home made food. Not fancy which may turn some people off, but once you start eating the food, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
