It was our first time. I had the beef burger with pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes. It sounds weird but it was delicious. The sweet potatoes fries have cinnamon of them but they were happy to make a batch without for us. Beer selection was good and the staff was friendly and informed. We will go back...soon.

Enjoyed dinner with family and enjoyed dishes including fish and chips and shepherds pie. The shepherds pie is made with lamb which is very good.

Service was slow we had to flag down our server to get anything! Our libations took ions. We won't go back. Much, much better Pubs and restaurants than this one in Hendersonville.

Any time my out of town friends come to Hendersonville, they want to go to Black Rose. Super cool Irish Pub atmosphere. Food and wings are consistently good. Great place to watch the big sporting events. The whole bar cheers.

Loved the Shepards Pie. Very different. Parmesan Cheese crust. Good beer selection. Lots of locals at Bar. Good service.

Four of us were here for dinner this evening-all regulars. I got my regular Shepherd's Pie. It was almost all mashed potatoes over a layer of red grease. If there was any meat (it should be lamb) it was not to be found. Not good at all. A friend got his usual fish & chips, which was all breading. The... More

We had burgers here today. The 3 pepper will light you up if you bite into the jalapeño without expecting it. Still a very good burger. We also had the Old School burger. Both with seasoned fries which were very good.

The food was fine, not great, but not bad either. After leaving the restaurant, we passed other ones and I wondered if we could have made a better choice where to eat. So, I guess that exemplifies my ambivalence to the Black Rose.
