I just went there for 2 sushi rolls. It took 45 mins! The rolls are NOT as pictured on the menu. They are much smaller and apparently they think they can sub celery for avocado. You'll get better at a grocery store! Food and service were terrible - I won't go back.

My family loves to come here. The food is always great. The price is right on. The service is great! My fave is the Crispy Shrimp Roll. This is a small restaurant run by family.

We placed a take out order at 8:45 pm on a Friday evening knowing they close at 10:00. We went to pick it up at 9:00 and had to wait. There were 2 tables finishing dinner and one of them were employees who got up and went to the kitchen. Waited about 10 minutes and got home to find the... More

I've lived in Hendersonville five years without eating at Asaka, but the new neon "pho" sign in the front window drew me in at last. My soup came in a large bowl with generous portions of three different meats. Mint, cilantro, mung bean sprouts, and lime wedges were served on the side. The meal was tasty, but star anise, the... They don't have it anymore. So I ordered the eel roll, it was the worst sushi I have ever eaten. I also go the hibachi steak, it was so bad I couldn't finish it. Same with my fiancee's chicken. Stay far far away.

When shopping in the area, if I can near Asaka, I stop here. Clean, helpful staff with kitchen in full view, this place is comfortable and inexpensive. $8 lunch including the drink. The sushi is wonderful, as well as the tempura. For a low-fat lunch or dinner, try one of the specials. Nothing fried except for the rice (which you... More

My experience with Asaka is they continually decrease portion size and increase prices. I would rather see an increase in price and continue to get what i expect.

Large portions, nicely cooked, and very good appetizers all at a very low price. We love the carrots, main dishes are all good. My scallop special was perfectly cooked. The service is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is comfortable, well lit, and a great place to stop after shopping. A place I could eat twice a week happily.
