My husband and I have eaten here a few times and picked it to take friends for lunch who were visiting for the weekend, before going to the Flatrock Playhouse downtown. Lesley was our server, who was quite helpful with the menu. My husband had the Shrimp and Grits and I had the Tenderloin Quesadilla, both being repeats for both... More

Never Blue is a different kind of restaurant with new and different items on the menu. The atmosphere is fun and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. There are always items for the "not so adventurous" and items for the "what the heck I have never tired this before group". Not fancy, jeans are fine. Not overpriced. Good casual... More

Very nice atmosphere, but the food was not the best in Hendersonville. I had the shrimp and grits and would not recommend. The pot roast looked good. We shared tiramisu was fantastic. Many unusual choices. Will probably try again with a different entrée.

Just had a great Thanksgiving dinner at Never Blue. There were all the favorites like cornbread and celery dressing, turkey etc, but a lot of things with Chef Jessie Rocque's creative touch. The pumpkin ravioli, the winter greens, sweet potato casserole and mushroom medley were delicious. The service was very good. The staff had obviously been trained to keep things... More

Went to Never Blue with daughter and granddaughter before going next door or a play. I had the pulled pork tostada which was a great combination of flavors. Eclectic setting and great service.

Only reason it gets a 4 and not a 5 is the pricing. It's not "outrageous" the be fair though. Right next to the Flat Rock Playhouse, it's a great place to eat before or after a show, as we did. Excellent tapas- everything we got. The soup of the day was good, a little over salted was the opinion... More

Pot roast is the best. If you are from Midwest, you would think you are in Chicago. Our favorite restaurant

For lunch I had tapas and my wife had a hamburger. Hers was good, mine was disappointing. The buffalo cauliflower was breaded/mushy/soaked in hot sauce. The pork dish was bland. Then to top it off, the price seemed to be very high for a burger and 2 tapas dishes. Try it at your own risk.

My husband and I needed to grab dinner on our way up to a weekend cabin rental. Never Blue was our number one choice due to its menu variety - tapas AND some entrees. We were not disappointed! Order the El Jefe margarita! It is incredibly delicious, & a refreshing twist on the traditional 'rita. Have fun just reading the... More

Quick disclaimer: when we stopped here in late October, our server told us the menu was about to be changed, so my comments are based on the menu in effect that night. But I can say that our dinner that evening was excellent. Although half of the menu featured small plates, we decided to go large. I had the pot... More
