This is everything you want in a family bakery! Large selection of the most popular baked goodies and several 'specialties' as well. All presented in a classic family bakery style. Everything is homemade from scratch and oh, by the way, scrumptious! Fair prices (rivals big box store bakeries), fresh food and did I say they were all delicious?!! The classic... More

This old fashioned bakery is a must when visiting Hendersonville,NC. My children love walking the counter trying to decide which of the beautiful, tasty choices they want!

Has been in business forever. Good quality products. Wide range of pastries, cakes, pies and bread. My favorite is the "covered wagon," but I don't think can go wrong by choosing anything that looks good to you.

This is what a bakery should be and one of a dying breed. Home made delicacies baked with excellent ingredients the old fashioned... More

Having lost our beloved bakery in south Asheville, I heard about McFarland Bakery, opened in 1930, and decided to go! The warm aroma of homemade pastry greeted me two doors down! I couldn't believe the 6-8 cases of hand made cakes, bear claws, cream horns, apple fritters, danish, gingerbread men and a whole case of cookies that were in front... More

Wish we would have been told this upfront as we never would have bought a dry cake. This is disappointing as we frequent this bakery a... More
