When we travel, we try to find a hotel with a good local restaurant nearby so that we can support the local businesses. Pino's was within 5 minutes of where we were staying, and we were in need of a good meal, so we tried it. There was a "seat yourself" sign at the door, so we did as asked. The waitress was at our table within 2 minutes offering a beverage and they had a nice selection of beer, so we imbibed. I ordered the lasagna and hubby ordered the eggplant parm dinner. The salad was SO crunchy and fresh and tasted great! We didn't eat the bread that came with the meals, as we try to stay away, but it smelled great! My lasagna was outstanding! Just enough meat and cheese, and hubby said his eggplant parm was one of the best he's ever had. Our waitress was on point, very kind and personable and the service was fantastic! As we travel in this direction every now and then and don't frequent franchise food establishments because of health reasons, we will be sure to make this stop in Henderson a priority! What stood out even more than the quality of the food, was that so many people entered this establishment and were greeted by other's who were dining and/or serving. This is a great local spot and we felt very at ease here.

We stopped to have dinner here after the great reviews posted and prices. The bad comments about the table service concerned me but the overall good review of the food won me over.
It did not disappoint on flavor and the prices were fab. We dined in on a Friday evening. We did not have to wait although we did notice it was packed and we were seated in the back room.
Food was very favorable, we had one of the Friday specials of shrimp scampi-one with white and another with red sauce. Table service was terrible as stated. We waited too long just for water. Then when I finally put in my salad order I asked for no onions and my salad arrived with onions. I was too tired and hungry to wait for another salad so I just ate it. As others have stated please inform future guests that plain bread will come with your meal so if they choose garlic bread instead of a salad, they'll receive a double dose of bread.

Nothing fancy, but who cares when the food is good. I had a simple peperoni lunch size pizza that was very good. The portion was above average, the food was good, the waiter did a good job and, most of all, the price was reasonable. What more do you expect?

First, I attempted to call the restaurant and got a busy signal several times with no success. Decided to enter the establishment to be in a long line mixed with paying customers and those who needed to place orders. Once I got to the register I asked question about the order in which I wanted to place. Once at the counter, I was still never greeted. The man with glasses, begin talking very loudly and as if I was stupid. I kept my composure and requested to speak to the manager. Of course, I showed empathy as I worked in the food business and the manager was very compassionate. Sadly, bad workers reflect your business. I encouraged him to talk with his worker and he said he would.

This is a great find! They were able to accommodate our party of 12, service was efficient and correctly served our special orders. Food portions are generous and delicious. We all took left overs home.

Great food . Take out here is great . These people try very hard to please . Steak and cheese sub with grill onion,mayo and fries . Absolutely great !

We stopped for a quick lunch and it was really good! On top of that, the prices were very reasonable. We'd definitely stop again on our way to Charlotte from Virginia!

We have eaten here several times over the last three years when we travel through Henderson, NC. Always seems to be popular with the locals, but parking is not an issue because the restaurant is located in a strip mall. We have always enjoyed the Italian dishes. Went last time with a party of seven and there was no wait for a large table for us - we had called to let them know we were coming with a party of seven. Some of the meals came with bread and butter. Attentive and friendly wait staff. We come back here as our go-to place in Henderson.

What a hidden gem in a strip mall. Locals probably know all about it but as a traveler we were happy to find the place. Kids shared a small pizza and my husband and I had pasta. Mine had meat sauce which was meat done very fine not chunky. My husband had tomato sauce and he added sausage. The waitress said all the sauces were homemade. Both pasta dishes came with a large portion of garlic bread so we didnt have to fight over it. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. The menu had lots of other options beyond pizza and pasta such as subs, sandwiches and salads also. Finding a good place to eat when out of town can be a struggle. This was a win.

Heard this was good. Ordered veal parmagian. Came with a salad, side of spaghetti and bread.
The veal covered a Platter. It was huge and delicious. All the food was great.
Will definitely go back.

Ordered the calzones. They were absolutely delicious and plenty for even the biggest appetite. Pizza was good too and service was excellent!
