Fabulous chef-prepared food and perfection in service. We look forward to our next visit. The best fine dining restaurant in the area.

We weren’t here for my birthday and we’re not disappointed. I upgraded to the ribeye which was fabulous. My daughter upgraded to the surf and turf it came with lobster and fillet. The bananas Foster upgrade was spectacular for dessert. I enjoyed the portobello mushroom...that came as part of the prefix menu. My daughter loved the mushroom soup it was part of the prefix. Our waiter could not have been more professional. This is true continental dining reminiscent of the 80s.More

The Copper Door was suggested by a friend who has a home in the area. I had personally reached out to the restaurant beforehand asking if they would accommodate a vegan meal in their four course prix fixe menu. They immediately responded and said they...would be happy to. We arrived and were not disappointed. Both my husband (non vegan meal) and my meal were incredible! The dishes were all beautiful with such thoughtfulness and attention to detail as well as absolutely delicious! Such a gem of a restaurant nestled in the mountains of North Carolina. Will definitely look forward to visiting again if we find ourselves in the area.More

The service is always top notch and all aspects of the meal are just superb. This...is always our first choice and our first recommendation!More

We go to the Copper Door on special occasions- usually up there for my birthday and our anniversary. Atmosphere is perfect and food is absolutely incredible. I’ve heard people travel from Atlanta, Ga and as far away as Ashville, NC.

Excellent food hidden in this very unlikely small community. The facility has grown since we were there a couple years ago and aseticaticly very nice. I believe the owner is from New Orleans and crayfish pasta is excellent.

My husband heard about this place by reviews here on TripAdvisor. We treated ourselves for Christmas. Our experience was above and beyond our expectations. The food, service, and ambience were exceptional. My husband started with the mushroom soup and oyster/shrimp shooters. I had the smoked...salmon appetizer. So far so good. We both indulged in the filet mignon topped with lobster. Best steaks we have ever eaten! Can't say enough about the quality of the meat. We ended our meal with two different desserts, creme brulee and creme suzanne. OMG! Probably the most we've ever spent on dinner but it was a great special occasion place and worth every penny! We will be going back very soon.More

My first time to the Copperdoor , but for sure not the last. The food was all delicious the popovers were over the top, light, fluffy and tasty. The salads were fresh interesting and delicious. The steaks was grilled to perfection, and melted in your...mouth tender. The seafood was fresh and so tender and delicious. The chipotle grits were the best I have ever tasted, I would go back just for grits.....yum!!!!! We followed up the amazing meal with dessert that was beyond amazing!! The chocolate flourless cake was the best I have ever had and the salted caramel gelato pushed it over the decadence scale. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable and the service was great, our server was so pleasant, helpful and very attentive . The Copper Door will be a regular stop when visiting the area.More

I would call the Copper Door and ask to speak to the Chef; his name is Dennis and he should be able to answer your questions and give you suggestions.

I don't know - and they are not marked or indicated on the menu. I would imagine that a call to the restaurant would uncover this info.
