We were visiting NC from Louisville, KY and decided to visit the Copper Door for my wife's birthday. She chose the filet and I chose the ribeye, they were the two best steaks that I have ever tasted (I eat a lot of streaks, from...Texas roadhouse to Malones). My son chose the pork shank and his girlfriend chose the duck, both were beautiful and delicious. The pork belly and oysters were both delicious to start with and the Creole Caesar had a nice flavor profile. For dessert my wife chose the bananas foster, it was a lovely after dinner show in the preparation and the taste was incredible. The other desserts of macaroons, pot de creme, and a bourbon ball accompanied by coffee was just perfect to finish the meal. We will be back!!More

We were staying at the Brass-town Valley Resort in Young Harris, Ga. and decided to drive over to Haysville, NC, a 7 mile trip, and visit Lake Chatuga. Happened upon this restaurant on our way back. It was a preset menu at $75.00 per person....You choose an entree from 4 categorizes, appetizer, salad, main course, and desert. The entrees were excellent, the service was excellent. Our bill was over $300 but with every penny of it.More

We dined with friends in celebration of their anniversary. We have both travelled extensively and this experience well exceeded our expectations. Each course of the the prix fix menu was extraordinary. The tastes exploded and we loved trying new things. Thanks for a great dining...experience. We will be back.More

This was a celebration of our 49th wedding anniversary. It was a four course meal that came to $168 for two. This is with tip and tax. No alcoholic beverages were consumed. We considered this to be an average restaurant and have frequented many average...priced restaurants that have better fare. My husbands appetizer of shrimp and grits was very good. I had a Brie in a tiny crepe that was okay. In my opinion the Brie would have been much better in a flaky pastry. His second course was cream of mushroom soup and it was very good. Mine was a harvest salad that was average. The entree were served with mashed potato’s and crisp green beans. His entree was Cod and was just okay and mine was lamb chops that were grisly and tough very often having to remove it from my mouth from behind a napkin as it was impossible to chew. Desert was was okay. Service was fine. All in all the fare was average and for the cost everything should have been exceptional. We won’t be going back.More

Outstanding staff complimented an incredible menu. The 4 course menu changes weekly so we will now be a regular customer at the Copper Door.

The Copper Door is fine dining at its best! You'd expect to find a restaurant of this caliber in a metropolitan area, competing with many others like it! Instead, you find it nestled in the quaint NC town of Hayesville. From the moment you enter...the door to the last bite of dessert, this is a five star experience. Don't miss it! Be prepared for fixed prices ($65 per person) and a small selection of menu items to choose from. This is not a large menu, but every single item was outstanding!More

We don't get the opportunity to dine out very often and save our money for special occasions. Since we could not go anywhere last June we hoped for the same wonderful experience we had back in 2019. We certainly did!! We even had the same...wonderful server, Lee, who is the best of the best. The appetizers and salad were excellent and our entrees of Pot Roast (yes, Pot Roast) were top notch. Tender and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is so nice inside by the fireplace with soft music playing in the background. ALL the staff were so friendly and even the young ladies at the front said Happy Anniversary both coming and going. They sure treat you right. Just an added note as this was different than last time; The new Prix fixe menu had enough choices for us. We imagine if you could eat here often, the same choices would get old even though the menu changes something each week. $65 each plus 20% tip really stretches our budget but we'll save and come again as the experience matches anything else in western NC, and that includes the Biltmore estate in Asheville and the fine restaurants in Highlands.More

Wonderful place to celebrate our Anniversary! The hostess was very friendly and wished us a Happy Anniversary! We had a table for two by the romantic fireplace. The set four course menu had wonderful choices. We had smoked salmon crossetti then a delicious salad with...mixed greens, walnuts, feta, mandarin orange slices with citrus vinaigrette dressing. The pork chop with mustard sauce was very tender. We ending with their fabulous bread pudding with walnuts and bourbon sauce. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.More

Good Food, not a fan of 4 course dinner Overall, food and service was good but was disappointed with the menu You pick app, salad, entree and dessert. Dinner is $65 person. If you want ribeye, veal, filet, these are an up charge at an...additional $ 15-20 on top of the 65 Portions are small, food and presentation was very good and gratuity is 20% and you can add to the tip if you would like For the 2 of us with 2 drinks a piece and 1 up charge we spent over $230+ Again while the food and service was good the cost was high in comparison to other quality restaurants with similar service and food Won’t likely go back.More

I would call the Copper Door and ask to speak to the Chef; his name is Dennis and he should be able to answer your questions and give you suggestions.

I don't know - and they are not marked or indicated on the menu. I would imagine that a call to the restaurant would uncover this info.
