Food is good and we’ve loved it over the years. However, the wait staff, bar staff and cooks do not wear masks in the time of covid. Very sad we can’t go back.

Great food and service. Highly recommend the seafood platter blackened and getting cheesy vegetables. Waitress was highly attentive and food was simply delicious. Clear why it is #1 in Hampstead.

Placed a take out order 25 minutes ahead and still had to wait an additional 26 minutes upon arrival. None of the staff were wearing masks. The two fried appetizers were cooked in burnt grease and had a bitter taste. The food is usually excellent...but this time was very disappointing.More

The food is good, but you don’t get enough for the price. We tried it twice & had 6 different meals. Also there are no substitutions.

Sort of a small sports bar with a hidden agenda.....to sneak in some of the areas best prepared food. Excellent spot for a late lunch or early dinner. We almost always order the daily special for that day. Never been disappointed. Small, but friendly folks...who know good fresh and flavorful food. Wait staff well experienced, and they really take the extra effort to ensure you are satisfied with all phases of your meal. Darn Good Food, Darn Good Folks.More

Simple building with a local bar/fish camp feel. Tried the fried seafood platter with shrimp, catfish and oysters. Each tasted great, nice portions, and tasty sides. Cornbread was so so. Everyone in our party liked their food. Service was attentive.

Service was great, considering the place was packed and people waiting for a table or counter space. Food was very good. Always something new on the menu to try. Not a lot of healthy choices, but salads are good. Burgers are always good. My husband...had the chicken pot pie - creamy and tasty.More

Food and service ok, kind of expensive for the place. It appears as # 1 in Hampstead, but kind of restaurant/bar, although there were families with children as we.

Wouldn’t recommend at all. Service was terrible food almost inedible. I had oysters on the half shell and jambalaya. Oysters were close to spoiled and jambalaya was both cold and poorly made. Seafood platter had too many fries and a minuscule, burned portion of what...was supposed to be catfish. Inedible. Won’t go there again.More

The food was a four and the service was a two, hence the overall three rating. This is definitely a "locals" place in all senses of that word. First, the sign is hidden behind a tree, and the restaurant is on a very busy highway, so...if you don't know where it is you may miss it a few times before finding the driveway. The service is the weak link here. Our party was treated warmly in the beginning and then somewhat rudely/coldly as time went on while others (locals obviously) were always treated well the whole time. The Food: My husband and son ordered burgers which they said were excellent. One daughter had fish and chips which she said was tasty and my other daughter had the kids chicken fingers meal which was good tasting, but the fingers were quite small. I ordered the crab cake which came with potato hash. Several pieces of the potatoes were ice cold ("frozen" in temperature) while others were hot. The crab cake was small, flat, and mushy in the middle. It did not taste like crab. Since this was the most expensive item on the table, and apparently the only clunker, I decided to let the waiter (owner, Jebby?) know. When I explained what the problems were, he obviously got offended and proceeded to argue that the potatoes were not "frozen." I meant frozen in temperature, as in too cold, and said so, but he would not listen. I felt like I had to apologize to him not the other way around. I told him the crab cake was mushy and seemed undercooked and he said they didn't serve "hard" crab cakes, or something to that effect. No apology. He just stood there and finally my husband had to ask him if I could order something else. He reluctantly said, "Yes." I ordered a hamburger which was excellent. My advice, if you do choose to go to Jebby's, is stick with burgers. At the end of the meal, it took forever for us to get a box for leftovers and a check. It was busy but the place is small and there were two servers. We probably will not go back again because if we wanted snooty service we can get that at home. And there are many other restaurants to try in the area.More
